Lin Hai had no way of knowing about the Celestial's brief confusion in the distant universe. He steadied the blood still surging through his veins, then turned to Master Hamil, who had stood guard beside him, and bowed solemnly.
"Master Hamil, I really couldn't have done this without you!" Lin Hai's voice was full of sincere gratitude. "If you hadn't cast the Shield of Oshtur and the concealment spell in time, that final burst of energy would have caused a huge disturbance. It might have drawn all kinds of unwanted attention and trouble."
He could easily imagine what would have happened without those two layers of protection. The intense blue-green light and energy fluctuations would have spread, attracting the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., the U.S. military, some other hidden organization, or even forces with hostile intentions. Then this precious "charging station" would never know peace again.
Master Hamil's expression remained as calm as ever. He waved a hand. "It was nothing. I chose to come with you and agreed to your request. This was part of what I came to do."
After thanking Master Hamil, Lin Hai looked up at the red glow still surrounding them and felt the fluctuations of the concealment spell isolating this place from the outside world.
Both spells could clearly hold for a while longer.
