Seeing that Matt and Foggy had both made their promises, Lin Hai gave Peter a meaningful look.
Peter understood and took out the metal lining that had just been rushed into production from the equipment bag he carried with him. It was folded neatly, matte dark gray in color. Though it looked thin and light, it had a certain weight in the hand.
"Matt, we've got something good for you." As he spoke, Peter helped Matt put on the lining.
As Peter helped Matt gear up, Lin Hai gave a brief introduction. "This is a lining we made for you using the Osborn Group's high-performance alloy. With it on, you can basically block ordinary sword slashes and thrusts, and it can absorb part of the impact too."
Once the lining was on, Matt moved his limbs around. He could feel the slight added weight, but it did not affect his agility.
Nearby, Harry's Nova Armor faceplate was open. Seeing the familiar gratitude on Matt's face, he quickly cut in. "Matt, stop right there. This really isn't anything expensive. We just used materials the group already had, and designing and making it was easy for us. Don't keep thanking us."
"Come to think of it, I think we could consider this kind of protective gear as an employee benefit for Starsea Studio. If more street heroes like you choose to work with us in the future, maybe we can issue one to each of them."
Hearing Harry say that, Matt knew that insisting on thanking them would only make him seem overly sentimental.
Once everyone was fully equipped, they went over and confirmed the operation plan for attacking The Hand's Shadowland stronghold once more.
