First Meeting with Madame Gao and Alexandra

Everyone's attention quickly returned to the matter at hand tonight.

After carefully studying the photograph Kingpin had handed him for a moment, Lin Hai walked to the relatively spacious center of the office, focused his mind, and closed his eyes.

Unlike opening a Portal to a familiar location, pinpointing a place he had never visited was quite strenuous.

Lin Hai slowly moved his hands before him. The golden sparks bursting into the air were noticeably unstable at first, the outline they traced wavering between clarity and blur.

Fortunately, Lin Hai was no longer the novice who had only just learned to use Portals.

After a period of preparation and adjustment, the wavering golden sparks finally steadied, forming a golden Portal with neat edges that rotated smoothly.

Beyond the Portal lay a dim, dilapidated scene. It appeared to be a rooftop covered in dust and debris, with hazy city lights in the distance.

Lin Hai exhaled a stale breath, opened his eyes, and nodded to the others.

"Let's go." Kingpin growled, taking the lead through the doorway to the battlefield. Matt and Elektra followed close behind, with Gwen, Peter, and Harry going through in turn. Lin Hai was the last to step through the Portal.

After arriving on the other side, they found themselves on the roof of a ramshackle four-story building. The concrete beneath their feet was riddled with cracks, while discarded construction materials and unidentifiable trash lay scattered around them.

Not a single light was on in the entire building or its vicinity. In stark contrast to the brilliant lights of Manhattan, New York, in the distance, this was clearly an abandoned district forgotten by the city's development.
