After setting their sights on becoming shareholders in Stark Industries, Lin Hai and Harry did not immediately plunge into the turbulent stock market.

There were still two or three months before Iron Man's battle with Iron Monger, let alone Stark Industries successfully transforming into an energy company through the Arc Reactor and ultimately seeing its stock price soar.

The most urgent matter for the four of them was their final thesis defense at the California Institute of Technology, the revisions and submission afterward, followed by graduation and a series of procedures for leaving campus.

The entire California Institute of Technology campus was shrouded in an atmosphere of busyness.

The library lights stayed on through the night; the laboratory data was run over and over again; and everywhere in the corridors, senior students could be seen clutching thick stacks of materials, hurrying along with dark circles beneath their eyes.

The four of them were no exception. Although each had completed the entirety of their thesis long ago, preparing for the final defense still consumed a great deal of energy and time.

Fortunately, all four had extremely solid foundations in their fields, their thesis topics were fresh in perspective, and their data was detailed and their logic rigorous. Most of their research was also supported by unique experiments or theoretical derivations of their own, making it highly original, so they felt no pressure whatsoever about plagiarism checks.
