After Lin Hai, Gwen, Harry, and Nick Fury took their seats at the dining table, Lin Hai turned to Gwen and Harry beside him. "Before we eat, let me formally introduce you. This is the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Mr. Nick Fury."
At that, Gwen and Harry both looked toward the bald man across the table, dressed in a black trench coat, dark-skinned, with only one eye remaining yet an exceptionally sharp gaze.
Though neither of them had dealt with S.H.I.E.L.D. before, they could clearly sense that he was no ordinary man. Following basic etiquette, they nodded to Nick Fury in greeting.
Lin Hai continued, "If I had to compare him to someone you know, then Director Zheng Xian's position and responsibilities in Huaxia's S.P.E.A.R. are roughly equivalent to Director Fury's role here in the United States.
"Of course, their actual authority and control within their respective organizations may vary by person and organization, but broadly speaking, they are leaders on the same level."
Although Nick Fury's authority and standing within S.H.I.E.L.D. were far inferior to Zheng Xian's within S.P.E.A.R., as the saying went, everyone liked to carry the sedan chair together. There was no harm in overlooking such details.
Sure enough, once Lin Hai finished speaking, Nick Fury's expression across the table, which had been somewhat tense after his earlier setback during the "tour," softened a little.
