After Tony's first encounter with Ivan Vanko, Lin Hai and the other three spent two enjoyable days in Monaco before returning to New York.
Monaco's sunshine, beaches, food, and all those people in swimsuits... were all worth staying a few extra days for. Since they were already out, they might as well relax properly.
What made Lin Hai decide to end the trip was a call from Tony.
Tony called once on the first day. He first asked why Lin Hai had come all the way to Monaco to watch his race, then abruptly changed the subject and casually brought up, "When are you going to deliver that thing we talked about before—the one that would satisfy me?"
Lin Hai laughed it off.
Tony called again on the second day. This time, he changed tactics and began describing how unwell he had been lately, how uncomfortable his chest felt, and so on.
After hanging up, Lin Hai looked at the contact label "Tsundere Freak" on his screen and sighed. If he did not go back soon, this guy would probably start bombarding him with nuisance calls every day.
After getting home, Lin Hai first organized everyone to put away the things they had brought back. Once everything was settled, he headed for the underground laboratory with Harry.
The laboratory was the same as always. Tools, parts, and half-finished modules were scattered across the workbenches, while a holographic model of the Nova Armor floated above the projection table by the wall.
Harry spent more than ten hours here every day. Those two days in Monaco had counted as his longest vacation of the year.
Once they found seats in the laboratory, Lin Hai took something from his pocket and handed it to Harry.
