The same words from Lin Hai gave rise to three different thoughts in the minds of three different people.

After hanging up, Coulson put away his phone and looked at the two people before him. Since he did not know Thor's identity,

in his eyes, they were simply two people who happened to know Lin Hai. They had heard in casual conversation that there was a magical hammer here, so they had come over at night to try their luck and see whether they might be the "chosen one."

Jane Foster's thoughts were entirely different.

She did not quite understand why Lin Hai had said that. Lin Hai had been friendly while talking with Thor earlier, and he knew Thor's true identity.

Logically, he should have supported Thor in reclaiming his hammer, but those words clearly had not meant that.

Thor's thoughts were much simpler.

He only knew one thing: this Kamar-Taj mage named Lin Hai was genuinely kind to him. Knowing that he wanted to see the hammer, Lin Hai had agreed without much hesitation and had even said, "Let him try." He was clearly supporting him.

Centuries, perhaps millennia, of ingrained habit kept him from thinking too much about it. He was Thor, and Mjolnir was his personal weapon. As long as he walked up to it and grasped its handle, everything would return to how it had been.

His father's exile, his lost divine power, the confusion and helplessness of the past two days—all of it would vanish in an instant. He firmly believed that.

Since Lin Hai had said so, Coulson no longer kept his guard up around them. He said to Thor and Jane, "Since you really do know Lin Hai, and he agreed to let you try lifting the hammer, then come with me."
