Harry gripped Sif's spear with both hands and dove from the sky. The Nova Armor's thrusters were at full power, blue flames trailing behind him in a long streak. The spear was aimed at Destroyer's head—the part capable of firing devastating high-temperature beams.
Perhaps Destroyer itself sensed something, or perhaps Loki, who controlled it, acted in time. Destroyer, its lower body bound by vines, suddenly leaned backward, its upper body bending at an exaggerated angle.
Harry's spear swept past Destroyer's front, missing the target by less than a palm's width. He gritted his teeth and tried to adjust his angle, but the momentum of the dive was too great. In the end, he slashed into the ground before Destroyer.
The asphalt split open in a deep trench, severing several vines Lin Hai had grown.
Using its backward lean, Destroyer dipped slightly, then launched itself into the air with a powerful push from its legs. The seemingly heavy metal body performed a backflip, moving as fluidly as a gymnast.
When it landed, nearly ten meters separated it from Harry. All the vine Silk wrapped around its legs had been torn apart, with only a few strands still hanging from its ankles.
Destroyer straightened again but did not move immediately. It stood there, the orange light within its body flickering as though it were thinking, assessing something.
Though the enemy had not attacked for some reason, Harry would not let such a good opportunity slip away. He instantly activated his thrusters and shot toward Destroyer like an arrow released from a bow.
Peter approached from the other side. He stuck Silk to the walls of several houses that had not yet completely collapsed, using them to swing toward Destroyer's rear flank.
The two attacked from front and back, coordinating remarkably well.
