The moment he picked up the metal ingot, Tony sensed that something was off.

He had handled far too many metal materials. From Mark II to the Mark VII currently under development, every generation of armor upgrade had been accompanied by countless rounds of material selection.

He had tried aerospace-grade titanium alloys, military armor steel, jewelry-grade platinum, and even studied all kinds of rare elements refined from meteorites. He could quickly identify more than a dozen common alloys and name their properties.

But this iron ingot was different. It was lighter than steel of the same volume, yet it did not have aluminum's flimsy lightness.

From Mark II to Mark VII, he had practically tested every metal on Earth that he could obtain in large quantities with his resources for use in his armor.

Some metals were too brittle, some too heavy, some could withstand high temperatures but conducted electricity poorly, while others were lightweight yet could not even stop an ordinary rifle bullet. With every upgrade, he had repeatedly tested and verified countless material combinations before finding the optimal solution.

So in Tony's eyes, even if Lin Hai was a wizard, he was still just a person. And in terms of power and money, Lin Hai was far beneath him.

Perhaps this metal ingot really was extraordinary, but to stump Tony Stark? Impossible.

Tony placed the metal ingot on the workbench and immediately began his experiments.

Lin Hai and Gwen sat in their respective chairs, watching Tony bring his instruments to bear on the Uru Metal ingot one by one.

The first thing Tony used was a high-temperature blowtorch.

The torch was industrial-grade equipment imported from Germany. The center of its flame could exceed three thousand degrees Celsius, enough to burn a glowing hole through an ordinary steel plate
