As a consultant, Lin Hai could visit most parts of the ship. Apart from a handful of core areas requiring the highest security clearance, they could go almost anywhere.
This was probably one of the highest levels of access Nick Fury had granted him. After all, someone who could open a Portal into his office whenever he liked could go anywhere he wanted, permission or not. Fury might as well be generous.
