Seeing Tony's puzzled and curious expression, Lin Hai smiled and explained, "When I touched the Scepter just now, I gained some benefits from the gem at its tip, which improved my strength."
The confusion and curiosity on Tony's face quickly turned into an intrigued expression. Clearly, he had developed a strong interest in this method of "gaining benefits."
However, before he could speak, Lin Hai immediately added, "Only I can do it. Or rather, only those who are strong enough can. If you want to gain anything too, I'm afraid I'll be burning incense for you by this time next year."
Tony curled his lip and swallowed the words that had reached his mouth. "Fine, I know you're impressive. Then can that Asgardian god do it? What about Dr. Banner?"
Lin Hai thought for a moment before slowly saying, "Thor should be fine touching it. After all, he's an Asgardian; his constitution is what it is. But whether he can gain anything from it is another matter.
Banner... or rather, Hulk, should be the same as Thor. Brief contact won't be a problem, but the chances of gaining any benefits are slim."
Upon hearing this, Dr. Banner showed no sign of regret.
In his view, the Hulk inside him was already a negative byproduct of an accident, and this Scepter was clearly another accident. One accident in the form of Hulk was more than enough. He had no desire to face another uncontrollable change.
Having come into contact with the Mind Stone, Lin Hai had accomplished the purpose of his trip. The four of them stopped disturbing Tony and Banner's work, left the laboratory, and returned to the rooms assigned to them aboard the Helicarrier.
Early the next morning, Lin Hai was awakened by a violent explosion.
The sound came
