"Let's skip this boring questioning. I'm here for him!" 2B said expressionlessly, pointing at the gunman.
The gunman's face immediately filled with terror. Though he did not know 2B, he knew exactly what he had done.
Since she had specifically come for him, he did not need to think to know why. Without hesitation, he frantically opened fire at 2B, determined to strike first.
But what he never expected was that every bullet he fired was blocked by the katana in 2B's hand.
The sight stunned everyone present.
"How is that possible?" Everyone stared wide-eyed, their eyes full of disbelief.
While they were still reeling in shock, 2B, who had been more than ten meters away just moments earlier, leaped into the air and landed directly in front of them.
A flash of steel swept past, and of the four men who had been alive and kicking moments ago, only one remained standing.
The one left was the gunman 2B had come for. Without a word, she drove her katana through his shoulder, pinning him to the wall behind him like a skewer.
At once, a shriek as miserable as a pig being slaughtered burst from the man's mouth, and none of his earlier viciousness remained.
Seeing him like this, 2B did not pull out the katana. Instead, she raised her hand and flicked the blade.
The entire katana immediately began to vibrate violently, causing the man even greater pain.
"If you want to suffer less, answer whatever I ask honestly. If you try to play games or spout nonsense, I'll make you wish you were dead," 2B said expressionlessly as she looked at him.
The man was completely consumed by overwhelming fear. His face had turned deathly pale from blood loss, and upon hearing 2B's words, he nodded repeatedly, not daring to refuse.
"Who ordered the shooting of the head of the Morgan Family?"
"T-Tombstone. Boss Tombstone told us to do it. Miss, please spare me! I'm just a small fry. I had no choice!" the man begged miserably, his desire to live exceedingly strong.
Rather than sparing him, 2B yanked out the katana and stabbed it into his other shoulder. His pig-slaughtering screams immediately grew even more intense.
"I told you, I don't want to hear any nonsense. Who is this Boss Tombstone you mentioned?"
"He's one of Kingpin's lackeys. He mainly handles the underground casino business for the Kingpin Gang and is one of Boss Kingpin's most trusted confidants," the man said through the pain, not daring to utter another unnecessary word.
"Kingpin? So the Kingpin Gang was behind all this?"
"That doesn't make sense. How would a mere gang boss like Kingpin dare provoke a financial giant like the Morgan Family? This clearly defies reason. It seems this matter really isn't as simple as it looks."
At that moment, Loren's voice rang in 2B's ear, his tone full of confusion.
Although he was still in the underground laboratory beneath the manor, he could monitor 2B's situation in real time through network communications.
"Boss, should I keep questioning him?" 2B asked with a frown.
"Just as he said himself, he's only a small fry. Even if you continue interrogating him, you won't get anything useful. Kill him."
"N-No, please don't kill me! I'm willing to do anything for you!" Hearing Loren say he wanted him dead, the man was so frightened he was nearly incontinent.
"Really? You're willing to do anything?" Loren asked teasingly.
"Yes, anything." The man nodded frantically, nearly dropping to his knees to kowtow to Loren.
"Very good. Then go to hell," Loren said calmly. To him, taking a life was as simple as crushing an ant.
"..."
The instant Loren finished speaking, 2B did not hesitate. Her katana flashed, and the man's head rolled to the ground like a ball.
His eyes were wide open, filled with unwillingness.
Until the moment he died, he could not have imagined that the woman before him would be so decisive and ruthless. She was far more ruthless than any of the so-called terrorists he had ever seen.
After killing the gunman, 2B flicked the blood from her blade, then tossed it behind her. The katana automatically floated at her back, one of the advanced technologies of the General-Purpose Combat Robot.
Just then, a burst of chaotic footsteps came from outside the factory. Within moments, more than a dozen drug dealers armed with various weapons blocked the factory entrance.
Seeing the dozen or so drug dealers who had suddenly appeared, Loren was not afraid. Instead, he was unusually excited.
"Since they're here, none of them should leave. 2B, kill them all! I'm a little tired from experimenting, so I'll go rest first!"
After issuing the order, Loren disconnected on his own. He could leave everything that followed to 2B.
As a General-Purpose Combat Robot, fighting and killing were her specialties. It was what she did best.
Because 2B possessed a genuine body of steel, she could not feel pain at all.
Therefore, even though the dozen or so drug dealers before her all had guns and were attacking her, Loren was not worried in the slightest.
He believed in the strength of the General-Purpose Combat Robot he had created, and he believed in his own technology.
Back at the drug factory, 2B transformed into an emotionless killing machine.
Although there were more than a dozen of them, in less than three minutes, not a single living person remained in her sight. She cut them all down as easily as slicing vegetables.
However, after being attacked by so many people, quite a few bullet holes had been left in 2B's artificial skin.
But for a robot, those bullet holes caused no significant damage to her body. Aside from looking unsightly, they had no other effect.
After eliminating the dozen or so drug dealers, 2B shook the long blade, letting the blood drip away before she calmly left.
Just then, a pleasant system notification sounded in his mind.
