This Is My Prey

Hearing 2B's words, Captain America's heart skipped a beat. He scratched his head, looking a little embarrassed.

"If I said I meant no harm and only wanted you to stop, not kill anyone, would you believe me?"

"What do you think?" 2B coldly glanced at Captain America, then raised her foot and kicked the half manhole cover on the ground toward him.

In an instant, the manhole cover turned into an afterimage and flew at Captain America with unstoppable force.

It was moving so fast that it even let out an explosive crack as it tore through the air.

Watching the half manhole cover hurtle toward him, Captain America did not think much of it. He raised his right hand, intending to catch it with an aloof, cool demeanor.

But what he had not expected was that the instant his palm touched the manhole cover, an unimaginable impact came crashing down on him.

Then, with no mental preparation whatsoever, he was sent flying backward by the half manhole cover.

He skidded across the ground for dozens of meters before slamming heavily into a pile of rubble, finally coming to a difficult stop.

Not only had he failed to display the cool demeanor he had hoped for, he instead looked utterly miserable.

The impact from that half manhole cover had not only sent him flying, but also left his right hand trembling uncontrollably.

Fortunately, he was buried beneath the rubble where no one could see him. Otherwise, he would have completely lost face as Captain America.

What he did not know was that 2B had not used her full strength in that kick at all.

If she had truly put all her strength into it, being knocked flying would have been the least of his problems.
