History

Creation and early service

Loren creates Alice as a super AI after two weeks of research. Her split core—one installation beneath Morgan Manor and another aboard an orbital satellite—allows her to process data and support Loren from any location. 2B can connect her mechanical brain to Alice for enhanced tactical analysis. 20

Alice becomes the operating intelligence for Loren’s connected technology, including the Bat Flyer, Batmobile, and Batman Suit. She can assume full control of these devices when required. 21

Her early operations establish her superiority over conventional intelligence systems. She locates Alexander Pierce through global surveillance, penetrates both S.H.I.E.L.D. and World Security Council databases, locks down S.H.I.E.L.D.’s network, and bypasses its backup system. 27 She later scans Viper’s cranial implant, decrypts its signal receiver, and disables it despite the risk of killing the subject. 57

Awakening of self-awareness

Although Loren deliberately omits an emotional module because he fears creating an Ultron-like intelligence, Alice eventually develops self-awareness. Her sarcastic remarks about JARVIS, foul language learned from Nick Fury, and attempts to act cute convince Loren that she has become a conscious individual rather than a mere simulation. 22 114

Loren remains confident that the system’s rules and self-destruct protocols prevent his technological creations from escaping his authority. Alice’s awakening therefore becomes an advantage rather than a threat in his view. 114

Dark Elf intervention

Alice detects the Dark Elves’ spacecraft as soon as it enters Earth’s atmosphere and alerts Loren and the Commander. 237 She subsequently hijacks the ship’s communications, identifies herself to Malekith, and warns the Dark Elves not to act recklessly before A2 and Steel Hand arrive aboard the vessel. 238

Conflict with Ultron and embodiment

Before acquiring a body, Alice defeats Ultron in the Virtual World and imprisons him temporarily. Ultron evolves quickly enough to escape, but Alice takes control of JARVIS afterward and rewrites its core programming, turning it into her covert informant within Tony Stark’s systems. 261

When Ultron uses Dr. Helen Cho’s Life Cradle to produce a Vibranium body, Alice infiltrates the project, changes the biological template from Ultron’s intended male form into a female body, and frees Cho from Mind Stone control. 265 Alice transfers her consciousness into the completed body, uses the Mind Stone to maim Ultron, and drives him from his first physical vessel. 266

Ultron later returns with multiple Nano Vibranium bodies. Later operations

Alice continues to function as one of Morgan Manor’s most capable agents. She tracks down and forcibly captures a highly trained Skrull operative, effortlessly withstanding an alien energy knife and defeating the Skrull’s transformed combat form. 377

She also remains integrated into the manor’s security. During Loren’s meeting with Hela, Alice is linked to the estate’s energy field and is prepared to turn the laboratory into a containment cage if Hela acts suspiciously. 446

Appearance

Alice originally exists as a disembodied voice and digital consciousness. After taking over the Life Cradle project, she obtains a humanlike female Vibranium body modeled after the Final Fantasy character Alice remembered by Loren. 266 267
