Truncated Enhancement Serum

Late at night, in the top-floor office of Kingpin Tower.

After finishing his call with the mysterious woman, Tombstone, whom Kingpin had originally sent to launch a night raid on Morgan Manor, was called back.

It was not just Tombstone. Scorpion and Prowler were summoned to the office as well.

Anyone who had read Marvel comics knew that Tombstone, Scorpion, and Prowler were Kingpin's three most capable henchmen. They were his sharpest claws against rival forces, and a major reason he had held firmly onto his position as the emperor of the underworld all these years.

A large part of that was because those three henchmen had helped him clear away countless obstacles.

"Boss, why did you suddenly call off the operation?" Tombstone had just gathered his men and was ready to make a big move, only for Kingpin to announce that the plan had been canceled. Naturally, he was deeply confused.

"It hasn't been canceled, only postponed. Someone will make a move for us," Kingpin said calmly after taking a puff from his cigar.

"You mean that person up there is taking action?" At Kingpin's words, the three henchmen all showed delighted expressions.

They knew full well what kind of force the Morgan Family was. Launching a night raid on Morgan Manor was no simple matter, so unless they had no other choice, they were not truly willing to take such a risk.

But now that someone else would act for them, it was naturally fantastic news.

Tombstone had once come into contact with a special chemical substance by chance. From then on, he gained an insulated body and the ability to emit intense heat from his skin.

Scorpion and Prowler were no ordinary people either. Scorpion was called Scorpion because he wore a high-tech suit called the Scorpion Battle Suit.

The Scorpion Battle Suit gave him immense strength and made him impervious to blades and bullets, while its tail could spray sulfuric acid and fire tear gas grenades.

Prowler also had a battle suit. With it, he could scale walls, glide through the air, and fire darts and hidden weapons.

The three had relied on these abilities to help Kingpin wipe out many rival forces over the years, but the people they had faced before were merely ordinary members of other gangs.

This time, however, they would be facing a silver-haired female assassin who killed without batting an eye. From the intelligence they had gathered, that silver-haired woman was clearly no ordinary person.

The surveillance footage recorded at the police station showed that the woman possessed terrifying strength and reflexes. She could even evade bullets.

Naturally, they were extremely wary.

And now, their boss had suddenly brought out Enhancement Serum for them. Although it was a Truncated Enhancement Serum whose effects lasted only twenty-four hours, once injected, it could still greatly boost their combat power.

A katana came hurtling from the building opposite Kingpin Tower with lightning speed, then smashed through the office's floor-to-ceiling window with overwhelming force.

The sudden turn of events startled everyone present. The floor-to-ceiling window in this office was made of bulletproof glass. Under normal circumstances, not even bullets could penetrate it.

Yet now, it had been shattered by a flying katana. It was simply inconceivable!

When they clearly saw the katana's appearance, everyone's hearts sank, because it was precisely the weapon used by the silver-haired woman they knew of.

Before they could recover from their shock, a beautiful figure with a head of silver hair leaped from the building opposite and landed directly before them.

Her jumping ability was utterly monstrous, and that silver-haired woman was none other than Miss 2B.

The instant she landed, she rolled across the ground, grabbed the katana embedded in the floor, and slashed at Prowler, who was closest to her. A flash of blade light passed, and one of Prowler's arms fell to the ground.

The Truncated Enhancement Serum in his hand was snatched away by her, and she held it in her hand, curiously examining it.

"So this is the Enhancement Serum you were talking about? You really think this thing can defeat me?" After playing with the serum curiously for a moment, 2B slipped it directly into her pocket.

Then, expressionless, she swept her gaze over the remaining four. Their expressions were extremely complicated—fear, fury, and disbelief all mixed together.

Prowler, whose arm she had severed, lay on the ground, howling in agony.

At the sight, 2B showed a trace of disgust. Then the Anti-Gravity Drone hovering beside her fired a single shot, sending Prowler straight to hell.

Seeing Prowler die in the blink of an eye, the remaining three did not simply wait for death. Kingpin immediately grabbed the cane at his side and assumed a defensive stance.

Tombstone and Scorpion, meanwhile, did not hesitate in the slightest. They injected the Enhancement Serum directly into their arms, and as the serum entered their bodies, they began to swell at a visible rate.
