Background / History

A2 was created by Loren after his nanotech general-purpose combat robot completed its assembly and separation tests. Alice announced her awakening, and A2 emerged from the manufacturing chamber as Loren's newest artificial creation. She introduced herself to 2B and Tifa as YoRHa Type A No. 2, promising to become their loyal companion and sister. Though 2B initially viewed her as a rival, the three quickly accepted one another as family 75 76.

Loren built A2 as a more advanced counterpart to his earlier robots. Her nanoparticle body contains a Vibranium skeletal structure and inner skin layer, Proto-Adamantium palm bones and weapon components, and bionic materials capable of simulating organs, nerves, blood vessels, hormones, and human sensation. She can switch between daily mode, which permits sensory simulation, and combat mode 77.

Her first assignment was to provoke Bruce Banner into becoming Hulk and obtain a blood sample. A2 phased through Banner's containment glass, challenged Hulk, passed through his attack, wounded him with her Embroidered Spring Blade, and collected the sample in under five seconds 77 78. She continued using Hulk as a combat test, eventually absorbing his strikes and releasing the stored force as a shockwave that knocked him unconscious 80.

During the Life Foundation operation, A2 arrived with Faceless Ones to reinforce 2B against multiple Symbiotes. While pursuing the Speed Symbiote, her nanomachines merged with its cells in a fusion secretly engineered by Alice. She accepted 2B and Tifa as family immediately and consistently addresses other members of Loren's group as sisters 76 301.

Her defining trait is absolute loyalty to Loren. She treats his commands as her highest priority, carries out violent assignments without hesitation, and reacts with particular fury when enemies threaten him or attack her sisters 136 299. This loyalty can make her ruthless: she executed Dr. Sterns after his betrayal and forced both Riot and Venom into submission when they became assets Loren wanted secured 99 107.

A2 is also direct and combat-oriented. She prefers immediate action to prolonged negotiation, takes pride in testing herself against powerful opponents, and is confident enough to confront Hulk, Thor, Ghost Rider, and Kang's forces without hesitation 78 137 296 514.
