As Miles spoke, light flowed around the tip of the Staff of Phastos in his hand. A gentle yet life-filled golden beam poured forth, precisely enveloping Zombie Hawkeye, who stood motionless not far away.
"Hmm?"
The instant the light touched him, Zombie Hawkeye's body jolted violently. A trace of the struggle and pain belonging to the living gradually surfaced uncontrollably on his stiff face.
Then, the rotten, shriveled flesh on his arm seemed to be infused with new vitality. His ashen skin visibly regained its color, beginning to show signs of life once more!
It was not an illusion, but a genuine "reversal"!
"Miles..."
Hawkeye slowly raised the hand that was regaining its color, feeling its long-lost warmth. His voice trembled. "You... succeeded?!"
"Didn't let you down. It's done."
Miles withdrew the beam and lightly tapped the staff against the ground, producing a crisp sound.
"It'll take a few more minutes for the transformation to finish, but once the process starts, it'll continue until the viral contamination in your body has been completely purged."
Just as Phastos had originally envisioned, Dawnlight was not a cure, but a special energy wave. It could completely erase the effects of the Zombie Virus on living organisms at the quantum level, forcibly "resetting" twisted lifeforms to a healthy state!
All Miles and Tony Stark had done was complete the part Phastos had failed to finish, correcting the fatal flaw in the energy waveform and allowing this creation of the Eternals to truly reveal its miraculous power.
"It actually... really..." Hawkeye muttered, opening his mouth without knowing what to say.
"Don't get too excited, Clint. This isn't the time to rest yet." Miles shook his head.
As he spoke, he threw the staff in his hand into the air, then pressed his
