Colossus had just shaken off Joanna when his body suddenly sank, his knees smashing deep into the ground.
Nearby, young mutants like Santo and Soraya had no chance to react before the oncoming Telekinetic Storm sent them flying.

Bobby shouted, ice spreading wildly across the ground to lock several students' legs firmly in place. But a second later, the thick ice shattered under the terrifying pressure!
Nightcrawler flickered in and out, carrying two wounded people behind the rubble in quick succession. When he reappeared, he stumbled, nearly falling to his knees.

Cable looked up at the sky.
As the dust dispersed, a figure slowly descended.
"Everyone, spread out!"
Cable shouted, "Domino! Take the wounded and everyone who can't keep fighting through Gateway beneath the Institute! Get as many out as you can!"
At such close range, there was no longer any need to keep their tactics secret through telepathic communication. It would have been pointless.
"Got it. Be careful!"
Without a moment's hesitation, Domino turned and rushed toward the students. "If you can walk, follow me! Cover the wounded, hurry!"
"Warpath, cover her!"
"Bobby, seal off the eastern passage! Buy them some time!"
"Wait, Nathan!"
Bobby suddenly asked, "Where's Ororo?"
"Ororo, she..."
