The deathly silence of space was broken.
Chu Hang reached out.
Space folded in layers before him, like the pages of a book flipping open.
The next instant, Chu Hang appeared behind Thanos.
Hundreds of thin black threads shot from his hand and enveloped Thanos. A sizzling hiss rose as his skin became riddled with holes and black deathly energy burrowed into his body.
Thanos roared.
The Reality Stone blazed red, twisting and erasing the black threads by force while repairing his body.
Chu Hang formed an axe with the Space Stone, infused it with the Law of Force, and swept it across Thanos's back.
The Space Stone flashed blue.
Space in front of Thanos twisted into a vortex. The axe plunged in, veered off course, and grazed his side, tearing open a massive wound.
Chu Hang released the axe, curled his hands into claws, and lunged in close.
Denser black deathly energy coiled around his fingertips. He wanted no weapon's edge, only direct contact with the Law of Death.
Thanos's expression changed.
For the first time, close combat put him at a disadvantage. His opponent healed as well as he did, while that black power clung to him and steadily eroded the essence of his life.
He could not keep meeting force with force.
The Power Stone and Reality Stone lit up together. Purple energy formed a shield that stopped Chu Hang's claws. Red light reshaped the surroundings, sending countless energy tendrils at him from every direction.
Chu Hang snorted.
At a thought, space around the tendrils stretched without end, leaving them forever unable to reach him. At the same time, he opened his palm. A miniature black hole formed there and began devouring the energy of Thanos's shield.
"Your Stones are borrowed power," Chu Hang's voice sounded in
