The Avengers Compound training ground.

Thor lowered Stormbreaker. Light from the six stones revolved around its haft.

After a full day, he could finally wield the weapon without restraint. His power had stabilized at High Skyfather-level, and with Stormbreaker in hand, he could reach Peak Skyfather-level.

Chu Hang stood at the edge of the field, with Wanda beside him.

She had watched all day.

She had seen Thor first grip the completed axe, suffer agony as six laws turned against him, then force that power into submission through sheer will.

Thor walked over.

"How does it feel?" Chu Hang asked.

"Like I've been born again." Thor raised the axe. "When my father was alive, I didn't understand what power meant. Now I do."

Chu Hang nodded.

Thor clapped him on the shoulder and strode away. He was going to find Valkyrie and tell her New Asgard had a guardian now.

The training ground fell quiet.

Wanda did not move.

She stared in the direction Thor had gone.

Chu Hang turned to her. "Say what's on your mind."

"I don't want to be a burden to you," Wanda said softly.

"You never have been."

"I have." Wanda shook her head. "During the Battle of New York, all I could do was protect civilians. When you were teleported away, I couldn't do anything."

She turned to face him. "Thor is High Skyfather-level now. You're Cosmic Overlord-level. What about me? I can barely control my own Chaos Magic. Every time I use it, it's a gamble."

Chu Hang said nothing.

"I know you've always protected me," Wanda continued. "Ever since Sokovia. But I don't want to hide behind you forever. The Council of Kangs is here, and the Multiversal War has begun. Our enemies will only get stronger. I want to stand beside
