With a flash of red light, three figures appeared out of nowhere on the lawn of the Avengers Compound.
Chu Hang held a swaddled infant in his arms. Wanda beside him looked pale, but her eyes gazed tenderly at the newborn.
Tony Stark froze with his coffee cup suspended in midair, the amber liquid nearly spilling. Steve instinctively tensed his muscles and gripped the shield at his side.
Only Thor approached with a dark expression, Stormbreaker in hand. He strode forward, each step seeming capable of stomping a deep crater into the lawn.
"Chu Hang." His voice rumbled like distant thunder. "Westview. That damned fitness coach. Can you explain that?"
Thor's mind was filled with the humiliating image of himself doing squats with dumbbells while being kindly mocked by the neighbors.
"And that one-ton dumbbell," he said through gritted teeth, "was my fucking Stormbreaker!"
Chu Hang looked down at the quiet baby in his arms, then raised his head to meet Thor's furious glare. He actually smiled. "I just became a father. Cut me some slack?"
"No." Thor's answer was absolute.
"Wait." Tony finally recovered from his shock, pointing back and forth between the infant and Wanda. "You two... when did this happen?"
"You don't need to know everything, Stark," Chu Hang said flatly.
Tony was left speechless.
Steve stepped forward, bypassing Thor. His gentle, concerned gaze fell on Wanda. "Wanda, are you all right?"
Wanda shook her head slightly, then nodded. Her voice was weak, yet tinged with the joy of new life. "I'm fine, Captain. Just... a little tired. But seeing him makes it all worth it." As she spoke, she gently touched the edge of the swaddling cloth.
