After Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong defeated the Imperial Team, Lan Yu brought the Botanical Academy Team into Bifulong’s following and set them on a path toward the championship.

• Lan Yu awakened Bifulong as his Martial Soul, declined Su Yuntao’s offer, and began expanding the Mycelium Network while Bifulong’s growth strengthened his Soul Power.
• Lan Yu enrolled at Notting College, where Xiao Wu became Bifulong’s devotee, then spent five years spreading mushrooms and faith across the Heaven Dou Empire before reaching Soul Power Level fifty-five.
• Lan Yu recruited Zhu Zhuqing and Zhu Zhuyun as believers, brought Zhu Zhuqing to Suotuo City, and challenged Shrek Academy, defeating Zhao Wuji with spores and the Mycelial Network.

After confronting Tang San in Heaven Dou City, Lan Yu followed him to the Clear Sky Sect and began an attack that left the sect buried under avalanches.

• Lan Yu connected the Blue Silver Forest to the Mycelium Network, transformed the Blue Silver King into Lan Xiang, and won the clan’s allegiance through Ah Yin.
• Lan Yu and his companions went to Star Luo City, rescued the Sage Lord of Fungi’s followers, and took control of Dai Weisi, the Nether Duke, and the Star Luo Emperor.

Tang San survived death and began his path toward godhood, while Lan Yu returned to the Douluo Continent and drew the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King into battle.

• Lan Yu destroyed the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan after Yu Yuanzhen refused to apologize, then made the patriarch live as a commoner and forced other sects to reckon with his followers.
• Lan Yu revealed the coming divine war to the Four Single-Attribute Clans and won Bai He and the Speed Clan’s allegiance, while Tang San and Dai Mubai traveled to Star Luo City.
• Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong crushed the nobles opposing Lan Yu, crippled Dai Mubai, and left him displayed on the city wall, while Tang San fled with Yu Xiaogang.
