At Queen Cersei's request, so that Prince Joffrey could see his father one last time as soon as possible, King Robert's body remained in the inn.

Out of respect and mourning, the white-stone inn had been completely draped in black cloth. Everyone coming and going had somehow found black clothes, and not a trace of laughter or cheer could be heard.

The innkeeper, Masha Heddle, stood outside gazing at the transformed inn, her feelings complicated.

The inn she ran stood at the crossroads where the Kingsroad running north to south met the River Road to the west and the Valley Road to the east. That was how it had earned the name Inn at the Crossroads.

It had existed for hundreds of years and had changed names many times.

Because of the unusual events that had taken place there in the past, it had once been called the Two Crowns Inn, the Bell Inn, and the Roaring Dragon Inn.

Now, the innkeeper did not know whether the inn would have to change its name again.

The king had not died on the throne, nor had the High Septon of the Great Sept of Baelor presided over the ceremony. He had died in this little inn of hers, with only a few nobles at his side; everyone else was soldiers and servants. What name would people give it because of that?

Whoosh~

The violent wind made it impossible for her to open her eyes. She could only vaguely sense a huge wave of heat leaping to her side, along with a heavy sound like a hundred people gasping at once.

The dust and wind gradually settled. She slowly opened her eyes to a slit.

Ah~

She could not even scream. She simply collapsed weakly onto the ground. *Was this the monster
