Encounter in the Star Dou Great Forest

Xiao Wu first encounters Gu Changsheng’s group after the Thousand-Faced Phantom Demon Spider’s Spiritual Mist disrupts her sense of direction. Gu’s Myriad Heaven Book detects damage in her disguise and identifies her as a suspected transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit Beast, placing her in immediate danger from Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan 31.

Gu Changsheng conceals her unstable aura with the Myriad Heaven Spirit Seal, explains that the spider used her to test the group, and later protects her from Yue Guan’s questions. In return, Xiao Wu promises him one future favor, provided he does not ask her to harm her friends 31 33 34.

Tournament reunion

Three years later, Xiao Wu represents Shrek Academy in the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament. She recognizes Gu Changsheng as an opponent from Spirit Hall, but remains affected by his past protection and repeatedly senses his attention from afar 36 37 40.

During an assassination attempt in Tiandou City, Xiao Wu intervenes to save the injured Gu Changsheng.
