Guests and What They Wanted

Changes were taking place all over the world, but not every change happened in plain sight.

At least, almost no one had noticed the frightening news that, in the distant Middle East, the first user had reached the Fourth Tier by sheer accumulation.

Of course, the few people who had noticed had no intention of interfering.

If anything, Li Yun was more concerned with matters that affected far more people.

What concerned one person was one thing; what concerned a crowd was another.

After all, the number of unwitting "prospective visitors" on the Main God Website had long since passed the point where it could be counted in tens of millions.

Even setting everything else aside, the current Tourist Invitation Mechanism, which selected only hundreds or thousands of people at random each day, was a drop in the bucket. It was clearly too restrictive for further growth.

At this point, even for the sake of "returns," Li Yun had to consider additional measures to manage a situation that looked calm on the surface but was growing more turbulent underneath.

For one thing, how would those who had been eliminated in the first round of the Visitor Trial, or those who had chosen "no" when given the choice, feel once they realized what opportunity they had missed? How would they react?

And among the vast crowds, those who spent their days dreaming of a windfall were growing more impatient by the minute. They wished they could be pulled into that miraculous space the very next second.

But when people were this restless and could see no real hope ahead of them, the consequences could be terrifying.

Especially when the real world needed to remain relatively stable.

Li Yun understood the problem. The Main God's comprehensive analysis also indicated that this pressure
