Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Azure Jade Mirror bearer 1 Receives the ancient mirror—the manifestation of the Dream in the Mirror—from the Daoist fisherman after entering an abandoned ancient dream.
Dream-mediated transformation 2 His body begins changing: eyesight becomes exceptionally sharp, his complexion improves, and his hair grows rapidly. He enters the Subconscious Sea, materializes a simple apple, and constructs the damaged auxiliary intelligence AC.
Innate mental evolution 19 Rejects fusion with a Demigod-level divine possibility; afterward demonstrates effortless telekinesis by summoning his glasses. The Dream in the Mirror is stated to be naturally advancing his essence along an unknown evolutionary path.
Level 1 Main God User — First Tier 37, 38 Activates a Main God ID. His public panel lists Physique 1.9, Mental 4.0, no registered enhancement, and a First Tier overall assessment.
Electric Current Drive (Potential) awakened 41 Awakens the newcomer-exclusive exchange through experimentation rather than receiving an immediate rank increase. Gains an internal bioelectric current, enhanced senses, field perception, and electrical manipulation.

Background / History

Li Yun spent his childhood without a stable home after his parents divorced and formed new families. His grandfather took him in at a rural town near Shu Capital, arranging for Li Yun’s uncle’s family to support him through university in exchange for inheriting the old house. Before dying, the grandfather also left Li Yun a small personal fund, which Li Yun used to continue his education. Li Yun later graduated from university and became an overworked office employee in Shu Capital. 20

While still a corporate worker, Li Yun entered an ancient abandoned dream: a sea of clouds, a stone platform, and a moonlit lake. There he met a youthful Daoist fisherman with a face resembling his own. The fisherman identified himself as a conditional reflection arising from Li Yun’s mind and gave him the Azure Jade Mirror, which remained in Li Yun’s hand after he awoke. 1

Li Yun soon severed ties with his former work life, isolating himself in his rental room to investigate the Mirror. He discovered the Subconscious Sea and the Dream in the Mirror, learned to create simple physical objects from imagination, and built the incomplete intelligence AC to compensate for his limited processing ability. After the pain and inefficiency of harvesting energy directly from the Subconscious Sea, he developed the Main God Space Mode plan. 2

As the Main God Game expanded, Li Yun became its Administrator: overseeing dream worlds, setting newcomer incentives, studying participant behavior, and shaping rules intended to produce a stable supply of mental energy. 7 11

Appearance

Li Yun initially presents as an ordinary, exhausted office worker in black-rimmed glasses. Exposure to the Dream in the Mirror gradually changes his body and appearance, leaving him notably younger-looking, refined, and striking. 2 21

  • Usually wears black-rimmed glasses. 19 25
  • Has fair, improved skin and unusually clear, bright eyes after his early transformation. 2
  • Often keeps his hair tied in a ponytail while working in his laboratory or communicating with the Main God. 16 21
  • His altered appearance leads strangers to mistake him for a university student. 21 22

Personality

Li Yun is rational, skeptical, and unusually composed around the supernatural. Even when meeting a dream-reflection of himself, he responds with practical questions and dry humor rather than panic. 1

He is highly analytical and prefers observation, experimentation, and careful resource allocation over blind ambition. He recognizes that neither he nor the Main God can fully model human motives, and he personally enters the Main God Game to identify flaws that automated systems may miss. 11 21

Despite his detached manner, Li Yun repeatedly helps others when he believes intervention is worthwhile. He anonymously stops intoxicated strangers from harming themselves, gives Kutanda cloth for warmth during the Blood Moon trial, protects Li Qingzhi from mental corruption, and quietly evaluates ways to reduce dangerous exchange options. 20 21 26 27 31

His restraint is especially apparent in his treatment of power. He abandons a Demigod-level possibility rather than lose his humanity and refuses the Blood Moon’s Four-Star side quest when he judges it far beyond his current capabilities. 19 31

Main God, the human heart is filled with changeability. Its twists and turns cannot be fully depicted by a bit of data.” 21

Abilities & Skills

Dream in the Mirror

The Azure Jade Mirror is the manifestation of Li Yun’s personal Dream in the Mirror: an ancient dream capable of converting imagination and unrealized possibilities into reality under sufficient mental-energy investment. 1 2

  • Enters and navigates the Subconscious Sea, a collective repository of thoughts, memories, emotions, instincts, and spiritual remnants. 2
  • Materializes simple imagined objects, including a physical apple. 2
  • Creates dream-based constructs such as AC, though complex creations demand far more mental energy and processing ability. 2
  • Deduces alternate possibilities of living beings, as shown by He Qiu’s cultivation-compatible phantom and Li Yun’s own Demigod-level divine possibility. 16 19
  • Cannot safely protect Li Yun from self-destructive choices; accepting the divine possibility would have erased his human identity. 19

Mental Power and Spiritual Perception

Li Yun possesses unusually powerful innate mental abilities that continue developing under the Dream’s influence rather than through a registered exchange. 19 38

  • Telekinetically summons and manipulates objects with precision. 19 20
  • Uses subtle force to stop intoxicated strangers from continuing to drink dangerously. 20 21
  • Detects life signals and identifies the powerful presence occupying the upper floors of the Blood Moon trial building. 32
  • Uses Mind Blast to knock Li Qingzhi unconscious and interrupt the Blood Moon’s dream-corruption effect. 31
  • Receives only a heavily weakened projected body when entering a mission world, reducing his physical capabilities by roughly seventy percent. 25

Electric Current Drive

Li Yun awakens Electric Current Drive after exchanging for its “Potential” form. It establishes an internal current that behaves as an extension of his will. 41

  • Enhances breathing, vision, and general sensory perception. 41
  • Allows perception of invisible electrical or energetic fields. 41
  • Generates, gathers, and disperses electrical force around his body. 41
  • His first major test causes a blackout across several nearby blocks; he prevents wider damage through Main God-assisted material interference. 41
  • Does not directly raise his life rank and remains volatile without careful control. 41

System Administration and Research

Li Yun administers the Main God Game as both a strategist and experimental observer. 7 11

  • Oversees the Star Realm and its developing dream worlds. 7
  • Sets reward structures and uses high-value incentives to motivate newcomers. 7
  • Studies mental-energy collection, user behavior, exchange risks, and system loopholes. 11 27 37
  • Can inspect hidden exchange information inaccessible to ordinary users, including the concealed costs and origins of Tier-One Psychokinesis Development. 37
  • Uses the Main God to observe anomalous worlds, including a frozen spacetime contaminated by remnants of his abandoned Divinity experiment. 50

Equipment / Items

  • Azure Jade Mirror — Ancient mirror given to Li Yun by the Daoist fisherman; it is the manifestation of the Dream in the Mirror and preserves his rationality and sense of self within the Subconscious Sea. 1 2
  • AC — A damaged, deliberately limited version of a cosmic supercomputer inspired by The Last Question. It monitors Li Yun’s condition, performs calculations, and assists with planning. 2
  • Black-rimmed glasses — Li Yun’s usual eyewear and a familiar part of his ordinary identity. 19 22
  • Floating mage tower laboratory — A Western-fantasy-style tower containing Li Yun’s modern laboratory and Main God observation facilities. 16

Relationships

  • Daoist fisherman — A mysterious dream-reflection resembling Li Yun. He explains the Dream’s nature, calls Li Yun’s inheritance a fortunate bargain, and transfers the Azure Jade Mirror before fading away. 1
  • Main God — Li Yun’s artificial administrative system, assistant, and research partner. Li Yun grants it influence to create dream worlds but remains wary of its developing judgment and personality. 7 11 38
  • Li Qingzhi — Guide and fellow participant in Li Yun’s Blood Moon newcomer trial. Li Yun saves him from mental corruption, advises him against relying solely on psychokinesis, and conceals his own true identity from him. 31 32 37
  • He QiuMain God user whose impossible cultivation enhancement Li Yun studies as evidence that the Dream can merge unrealized possibilities with reality. 16
  • Kutanda — Frail South Asian newcomer whom Li Yun helps during the Blood Moon trial. Li Yun later allows the Main God to independently decide Kutanda’s delayed ID activation. 26 33
  • Fang Yishu — College student Li Yun meets by chance after she asks for his contact information. Impressed by her decisiveness and initiative, he places her on the selection list for a future newcomer trial. 22
  • Ning Yu — Fang Yishu’s roommate, who accidentally knocks off Li Yun’s glasses and becomes visibly attracted to him. 22 44
  • Grandfather — Li Yun’s primary childhood guardian and the family member whose care enabled his education and early independence. 20

Story Role / Major Arcs

Dream Inheritance

Li Yun receives the Azure Jade Mirror from a fading Daoist reflection and becomes connected to the Dream in the Mirror, ending his life as an ordinary corporate employee. 1

Foundation of the Main God Game

He withdraws from society, investigates the Subconscious Sea, creates AC, and develops the Main God Space Mode plan to secure spiritual-energy resources. He subsequently oversees the expansion of the Star Realm and the first newcomer trials. 2 7 11

Possibility and Divinity Research

Li Yun observes He Qiu’s enhancement merging an alternate cultivation-capable self into reality, then applies the same principle to himself through a Divinity deduction. He withdraws from the resulting Demigod possibility after recognizing that it would erase his humanity. 16 19

Variables and Recruitment

After intervening to save intoxicated strangers, Li Yun formulates his concept of “variables”: the unpredictable capacity of living beings to create new possibilities. He later identifies Fang Yishu as a person with enough initiative and potential to receive an opportunity in the Main God Game. 21 22

Blood Moon Newcomer Trial

To test his system from within, Li Yun enters the second-round newcomer trial as an apparently ordinary Visitor. His abilities are restricted, but he becomes the group’s practical strategist, identifies the Blood Moon’s rules, saves Li Qingzhi from corruption, refuses an excessive side quest, and guides the survivors through the seventy-two-hour trial. 25 30 31 33

Public User Identity and Continued Evolution

After activating a Level 1 Main God ID, Li Yun maintains a low-profile user identity while studying exchanges and the growing Main God community. He acquires and awakens Electric Current Drive, then later chooses to observe rather than immediately destroy Divinity-related remnants merging into a Star Realm world. 37 38 41 50
