After that, the fallen mortal led the way, taking Li Qinwu toward the parade ground.
As he walked, the fallen mortal turned his head and asked,
"M-Milord, is your mighty warband... just you alone?"
The only ones mortals could address as "milord" were Chaos Astartes.
In his eyes, Li Qinwu's height and the black armor he wore marked him as an Astartes.
But everyone else who had come to this gathering had brought a warband. Even if they only had a few dozen men, it was still a warband.
Yet here Li Qinwu was, rolling up alone in a baby bus without a care in the world. Wasn't that a little undignified?
Li Qinwu snorted.
"I am an army unto myself. The condensed essence is the finest!
Now lead the way properly, or I'll stuff your skull into Ace!"
The fallen mortal hurriedly said yes, yes, yes, then lowered his head and led the way.
Still, through his helmet camera, he sent his master Li Qinwu's appearance and the baby bus's paint job.
Before long, Li Qinwu was led to the edge of the venue, beneath an abandoned Imperial industrial spire.
The eighteen warlords who had arrived earlier for the alliance had already finished their parades and entered the industrial spire to prepare for the meeting.
At the entrance stood an Astartes in red-and-black Power Armor, holding a Power Sword as he guarded the door.
This gatekeeping Astartes had stopped two other burly figures, who appeared to be Astartes, outside the entrance.
Why did they only appear to be Astartes?
Because one of the Chaos Astartes wore yellow-painted Power Armor covered in grease and grime. He only had two traitorous mortals with Autoguns at his side, radiating poverty from a great distance.
The other fellow was even more damnably shabby.
