No one knew what twist of fate had caused it, but the Lesser Daemon's violent slaughter caught Khorne's eye. He liked this little creature's pure rage, so he bestowed a blessing upon it.

Khorne discovered the things tormenting the Lesser Daemon. With a mere lift of his hand, he could have made those painful things vanish without a trace.

But he did not. Instead, he intensified that pain.

Because Khorne believed that those pains were what made the Lesser Daemon so enraged.

So when he blessed the Lesser Daemon, he also strengthened the source of its suffering.

This drove the Lesser Daemon even madder. The madder he became, the harder he fought. The harder he fought, the more he attracted Khorne's attention. The more attention he drew, the more blessings he received. And the more blessings he received, the madder he became!

Through this cycle, the Lesser Daemon became one of the Greater Daemons, someone who could stand in Khorne's stronghold and eat. Its suffering had also accumulated to a terrifying extent.
