Elsewhere, in some pitch-black, deserted sewer pipe, Li Qinwu removed a thermos from his stealth power armor and leisurely drank tea.
Opposite him stood the enormous Mechanical Worm!
Tech-Priest Busi was holding a small brush, oiling the massive mechanical body.
After taking a sip of tea and feeling his mind settle, Li Qinwu asked:
"Is that little USB drive you gave him really that powerful?"
Tech-Priest Busi nodded.
"T'au AI computers are highly efficient, but they are extremely dangerous!
The Adeptus Mechanicus, as well as most large-scale human equipment, uses the Cogitator Array as its management system. While this computer array is inefficient, it is exceptionally safe."
Tech-Priest Busi spent a long time explaining the difference between the Cogitator Array and AI computers.
Anyway, as Li Qinwu saw it, the Cogitator Array was safe because the damn thing was simply too slow.
If an electronic Daemon uploaded its Daemon Virus into a human Cogitator Array, it might painstakingly crack one array and try to do something, only to discover that the damn Cogitator Array was so slow it simply could not run its program!
Put simply, human computers—the Cogitator Arrays—were like a First World War battlefield, full of trenches everywhere.
It was already difficult for allies to move through a place full of trenches. It was even harder for enemies.
T'au AI computers, on the other hand, were as fast as high-speed rail!
They ran fast themselves, which meant the enemy ran even faster!
Tech-Priest Busi said:
"We Tech-Priests also wage information warfare, and the cyberwarfare skills we have honed are far superior to those of the T'au.
It is just that most of the time, using processing power to crack enemy computers is less
