Early the next morning, roosters crowed at the smithy.
Rudosen and the others slowly rose from the smith's straw mats. After a night's sleep, they felt much of their exhausted strength had returned, and began getting ready.
Rudosen pushed open the door of their sleeping quarters and stepped outside, only to see a towering man, 2.2 meters tall, standing in the smithy's courtyard in full plate armor!
The giant wore gleaming white plate armor reinforced with ridges, protecting every inch of his flesh.
Even his joints were protected by chain mail!
More terrifying still, the giant held an enormous sword!
He swung it with a fierce whoosh, the wind stirred up by the blade sending dust billowing across the dirt ground around him!
Rudosen's eyes widened, and shock surged through him.
Calling it a sword hardly did its sheer size justice. How terrifyingly strong would someone have to be to wield it?
After running through his sword routine twice, Li Qinwu planted the greatsword beside his feet. It was over 1.8 meters long and more than 30 centimeters wide.
He had not sharpened it, because a sword that heavy needed no edge. Once its hundred kilograms were in motion, it was already enough to destroy any carbon-based creature from the age of cold weapons!
Even with Li Qinwu's physical strength, swinging it was something of a struggle. Mostly, it was just too fucking heavy to handle nimbly.
But he could cheat with Psychic Power, drawing on it for assistance while reducing the sword's weight. That allowed him to swing the terrifying greatsword as swiftly and precisely as a slender sword weighing only a kilogram or two!
Noticing Rudosen watching him, Li Qinwu pointed at the smithy and said:
"Your
