Li Qinwu said to the Power Armor guards beside him:
"Hold the Shuttle here. Don't let anyone get close."
With that, he headed toward the city wall, following his recollection from before the fog had risen.
White fog filled the area, reducing visibility to less than a hundred meters. Before Li Qinwu had walked for long, he realized that his position did not seem to have changed much.
"Damn it, a ghost wall!"
About fifty meters directly ahead of him stood a residential house.
He tried walking toward it, but those fifty meters took him a full ten minutes.
This was a classic case of the Warp invading reality. The fifty meters between Li Qinwu and the house had been vastly stretched.
It looked like only fifty meters, but in reality, he had probably walked five kilometers.
Fortunately, Li Qinwu had his own methods. He closed his eyes, rubbed them with his fingers, and when he opened them again, golden light burst from his eyes.
He began observing the world with Warp Vision.
Sure enough, once he activated Warp Vision, he saw incomparably complex Warp Turbulence churning ahead of him.
That Warp Turbulence was like a rushing river in the rainy season—chaotic and lawless. Yet occasional pieces of driftwood floated through its raging currents. Those pieces of driftwood were islands of Realspace, tiny fragments of Realspace untouched by the Warp Turbulence.
Li Qinwu adjusted his Warp Sight. His left eye saw reality, while his right eye gleamed with golden light as it watched the Warp Turbulence.
He began trying to walk toward those islands of Realspace, and he succeeded!
Those islands of Realspace had not been disturbed by the Warp Turbulence, so the distances within them remained normal.
Using Warp Vision, Li Qinwu swiftly moved through the turbulence. Before long,
