After turning the Space Elevator freight terminal into a Radiation Deadland, the Radiation Sappers began moving outside.
They stepped onto the streets outside, taking a step and crouching, then taking another step and crouching again, extending the Radiation Zone beyond the terminal.
The T'au armed forces surrounding the Space Elevator could do nothing. As the Radiation Zone expanded toward them, they could only retreat with it.
Even their T'au battlesuits could not fully shield them from radiation this concentrated.
The T'au knew all too well how dangerous highly concentrated radiation was. At one point in their technological history, they had unlocked nuclear energy without discovering the dangers of radiation at the same time.
They had thought nuclear energy was a clean, harmless source of power with an inexhaustible supply.
Then the experts working with nuclear reactors began dying one after another. Their cell membranes inexplicably ruptured, their cells could no longer replicate, and within a week, they lay in bed as their flesh sloughed off on its own, dying amid pools of foul liquid.
Only then did the T'au discover the dangers of radiation.
The Radiation Sappers' reactors were designed to flood the surrounding air with nuclear radiation and inflict casualties, making them even more terrifying than ordinary reactors.
For every step the Radiation Sappers advanced, the T'au forces were forced to retreat another step.
After retreating more than a dozen kilometers from the terminal, a T'au commander lost his temper and shouted an order:
"Send in our drones! Use them to kill those bastards!"
Hundreds of drones were sent into the Radiation Zone, but before they could even get within weapons range, the radiation fried them. They crashed to the ground one after another, reduced to scrap.
Out of options, the frontline officers could only report to Flameburst Commander,
