  • Li Qinwu lured the rebel ships into the Stargate Fleet’s firing zone, then returned to Purple Diamond Star and ordered a surface assault after the fleet destroyed the rebels.
  • Li Qinwu sent the Traffic Light Trio to rescue Baron Dallas and descended in a Drop Pod, where he fought through the corrupted city while resisting Slaanesh’s influence.
  • Li Qinwu failed to destroy the ritual with nuclear bombs and recognized Aifeisi as his online friend Blood Rose, while she recognized him as Flowery Prosperity.
  • Aifeisi’s anger and Warp energy triggered her ascension, and Slaanesh named her Daemon Prince Storyteller as Li Qinwu wondered whether he could escape.

  • Li Qinwu spotted a group of fleeing Roman horsemen carrying eagle standards and gathered his remaining psychic power into a Lightning Sword.
  • Li Qinwu fired the golden lightning bolt behind the Roman legion, striking the fleeing horsemen.

Ch. 739Escape from the Era Promenade

  • Li Qinwu killed Crassus with the Lightning Sword, and the Roman legion scattered in terror.
  • Li Qinwu and the staff officers ran across the prehistoric grassland, fought off a Saber-toothed Tiger, and escaped the Era Promenade.
  • Li Qinwu reached the platform beneath the Gravity Villa and used his remaining Psychic Power to open a Portal through the Mind Beacon.
  • The staff officers carried the unconscious Rudosen through the Portal, while Joel asked Li Qinwu to come with them and Li Qinwu stayed behind to find Inquisitor Thraxol.
  • Li Qinwu noticed the young Mr. Stomach Bag and his Power Armor guards, warned him that heretics were on the planet, and ran off.

Ch. 740Modern

Li Qinwu raced to the Hive City to warn Inquisitor Thraxol that the Era Promenade had altered the planet, but Thraxol no longer recognized him and treated him as a heretic. Li Qinwu tried to awaken him with his Psychic Power, but the Skaven shot him down and the Ogryn finished him.

  • Li Qinwu stole a Shared Fish Head, warned his fleet to leave orbit, and learned that Inquisitor Thraxol was in the Hive City.

  • Li Qinwu realized Thraxol had become part of the Era Promenade and charged at him, hoping to restore his memories with Psychic Power.
  • The Skaven shot away Li Qinwu's lower body, and the Ogryn killed him with a warhammer.

Ch. 741Daemon Ascension Ritual

Li Qinwu learned that Aifeisi had offered the Era Promenade as a work of art to Slaanesh, and that the planet’s corruption had surged as she neared daemonhood. He saw Aifeisi conducting a vast performance at the Terminal Station and learned she intended to capture a Living Saint; Purple Diamond Star’s fleet then moved to attack the Golden Road.

  • Li Qinwu revived aboard the Golden Road and learned Purple Diamond Star’s Chaos Corruption reading had risen to 6666.
  • Li Qinwu realized Aifeisi had built the Era Promenade over three hundred years to present human history to Slaanesh, with Inquisitor Thraxol’s arrival completing the work.
  • The captain reported that the corruption reading had reached 66666 and identified the Terminal Station as its center.
  • Li Qinwu and the captain watched Aifeisi conduct six enormous orchestras through a performance of human history, nearing her ascension into a Slaanesh Greater Daemon.
  • Aifeisi told Li Qinwu she wanted a Living Saint to make her work more perfect, and the captain reported that Purple Diamond Star’s battleships were approaching.

Ch. 742Pursuit

Li Qinwu fled Purple Diamond Star with Inquisitor Thraxol’s fleet and headed for the Stargate, hoping its fleet would help stop Aifeisi’s ritual. The Stargate commander refused to leave his post, leaving the sacrifice unchallenged.

  • Li Qinwu ordered his ships to flee the four rebel capital ships and asked whether the Stargate Fleet had also rebelled.
  • After learning the Stargate Fleet remained loyal to Terra, Li Qinwu directed the battered fleet toward the Stargate.
  • The rebel ships pursued and fired Lances, but their attacks barely drained Li Qinwu’s ships’ Void Shields.
  • The Stargate commander warned that the Stargate was closing because of abnormal Chaos Value fluctuations and ordered Li Qinwu’s fleet to stop or leave.
  • Li Qinwu told the commander that Aifeisi was performing a sacrifice and pleaded for an orbital bombardment, but the commander refused to abandon the Stargate.

Ch. 743Doing Things by the Book

Li Qinwu tried to persuade the Stargate Fleet commander to destroy the Chaos ritual on Purple Diamond Star, but the commander refused to leave the Stargate and insisted on following regulations. Li Qinwu then gambled that the commander would destroy four traitor warships if they pursued him into the fleet’s defensive zone, leaving his own fleet free to attack the ritual; the chapter ended with Li Qinwu preparing to board a Shuttle and his captain questioning the plan.

  • Li Qinwu warned the Stargate Fleet commander that a Greater Daemon would soon be born on Purple Diamond Star and urged him to bombard the ritual site.
  • The Stargate Fleet commander refused, doubting Li Qinwu’s identity and choosing to follow regulations rather than leave the Stargate.
  • Li Qinwu accused the commander of cowardice, then proposed that his fleet lure four traitor warships into the Stargate Fleet’s defensive zone so the commander could destroy them under his standing orders.
  • The commander said he would act only according to regulations, and Li Qinwu cut off the communication and ordered a Shuttle prepared.
  • Li Qinwu told his captain to return to Purple Diamond Star and bombard the ritual if the traitor ships were destroyed, but otherwise to flee the system through the Mandeville Point.

Ch. 744Smoke-Blackened Kitchen Shutter Door

Li Qinwu fled toward the Stargate Fleet while Lady Aifeisi tried to seduce him into joining the Era Promenade. The Stargate Fleet opened fire on the traitor ships, but its barrage also engulfed Li Qinwu’s Shuttle.

  • Li Qinwu piloted a conspicuous Camel Shuttle into the Stargate Fleet’s defense zone while four traitor warships pursued him.
  • Lady Aifeisi contacted Li Qinwu and urged him to join the Era Promenade, but her Warp-powered seduction had no effect on him.
  • Aifeisi threatened Li Qinwu as the traitor warships drew near, and he spotted the Stargate Fleet opening fire.
  • The Stargate Fleet’s barrage blasted one traitor cruiser apart and engulfed Li Qinwu’s Shuttle, ending his consciousness.

Ch. 745Drop Pod

Li Qinwu returned to the Golden Land after his death cooldown and ordered the fleet to stop Aifeisi’s Daemon Ascension Ritual. Unable to break the Terminal Station’s Void Shields or find the vanished Era Promenade, he prepared to descend to the surface in a Drop Pod and bring his army through the Vault.

  • Li Qinwu learned that the Stargate fleet had destroyed Purple Diamond Star’s rebel fleet and space stations, then ordered it to bombard the Formation Eye.
  • The fleet’s bombardment could not break through the Terminal Station’s many Void Shields, so Li Qinwu ordered an attack on the Era Promenade.
  • The captain found that the Era Promenade had vanished, leaving Li Qinwu unable to locate another target that could stop the ritual.
  • Li Qinwu decided to board a Drop Pod, explaining that he could open a portal to bring troops from the Vault once he reached the surface.
  • The captain reported that the warships had twenty Drop Pods, and Li Qinwu ordered all of them launched so he could hide in one and draw the enemy’s anti-aircraft fire.

Ch. 746A Well-Connected Noblewoman

Li Qinwu learned that Baron Dallas, the Solar Lord’s cherished youngest son, was trapped in a Slaanesh-corrupted Hive City and agreed to pursue the rescue. The chapter left him recognizing Dallas as the 700-pound youth he had previously seen at the Gravity Track’s starting station.

  • The Stargate Fleet commander asked Li Qinwu to rescue Baron Dallas from Purple Diamond Star, whose surface was in crisis.
  • The commander revealed that Dallas was the Solar Lord’s youngest son and that his father doted on him, persuading Li Qinwu that the rescue could bring great rewards.
  • The captain reported that Dallas and several hundred Power Armor guards were hiding atop a noble’s Spire in a Hive City consumed by Slaanesh corruption.
  • Li Qinwu looked at Dallas’s photograph and recognized him as the 700-pound youth from the Gravity Track’s starting station.

Ch. 747Orbital Drop

Li Qinwu assigned the Traffic Light Trio to rescue Baron Dallas’s child while he prepared to descend to the surface and attack the Choir and Aifeisi’s altar. The drop pods came under heavy anti-aircraft fire as they fell toward the Terminal Station, with eight surviving long enough to break through.

  • Li Qinwu rejected Little Knife, Joel, and Les for the rescue mission because he wanted to preserve them for future command roles.
  • The Traffic Light Trio volunteered, and their claims that they were powerful comic relief characters convinced Li Qinwu to assign them the rescue mission.
  • The Traffic Light Trio boarded a Camel-type Shuttle with more than three hundred elite Power Armor soldiers and headed for the Hive City.
  • Li Qinwu climbed into a drop pod, intending to reach the surface and open a portal to bring out troops from the Vault.
  • Twenty drop pods descended toward the Terminal Station under fire from anti-aircraft weapons, and twelve were destroyed before the rest broke through.

Ch. 748Slaanesh Corruption

Li Qinwu landed in a modern city twisted by Aifeisi’s planetary sacrifice, where Slaanesh’s Warp corruption drove millions into grotesque madness. As he struggled against the corruption and fought off a crowd of lunatics, the chapter left him surrounded by attackers who delighted in self-mutilation.

  • Li Qinwu emerged from his Drop Pod seven kilometers from Aifeisi and found a metropolis whose residents had been transformed by her ritual.
  • Li Qinwu began suffering Slaanesh’s corruption, but reciting Scripture gave him enough resistance to remain temporarily sane.
  • Li Qinwu refused to bring his staff officers through a Warp Portal, fearing the Warp energy would corrupt them instantly.
  • Thousands of maddened residents charged Li Qinwu, and he fired his Boltgun, killing more than a hundred before his magazine ran dry.
  • A suited lunatic mutilated himself and hurled his guts at Li Qinwu, then staggered toward him, delighted by the pain.

Ch. 749Pleasure Prince

Li Qinwu fought off waves of Warp-corrupted lunatics while resisting the growing influence of the Warp. When the Pleasure Prince noticed him and nearly overwhelmed his will, Li Qinwu used his Power Sword to cut his own throat.

  • Li Qinwu killed the lunatics attacking him with his Power Sword and Psychic Blasts as thousands more flooded toward him.
  • As the fight dragged on, Li Qinwu's stamina and psychic strength dwindled, and the Warp's influence stirred violent, lewd urges in him.
  • Li Qinwu realized the corpse pile beneath him was alive with twitching, laughing remains, while a purple Warp Storm formed overhead.
  • At the Formation Eye, Aifeisi conducted an orchestra performing for the Pleasure Prince, whose projection appeared above the altar.
  • The Pleasure Prince smiled at Li Qinwu, nearly breaking his will, but Li Qinwu retained a shred of himself and dragged his Power Sword across his throat.

Ch. 750Meeting an Online Friend in Person

Li Qinwu tried to destroy Aifeisi’s ritual on Purple Diamond Star by launching ten nuclear bombs, but enemy missiles shot them all down. During Aifeisi’s invitation to join the feast for Slaanesh, Li Qinwu and Aifeisi realized they might be online friends who knew each other as Flowery Prosperity and Blood Rose.

  • Li Qinwu saw that Aifeisi’s choir was performing amid the chaos around the terminal and ordered the Golden Road to fire all ten nuclear bombs at the ritual site.
  • The enemy’s surface missiles destroyed all ten nuclear bombs before they could reach the surface, and Li Qinwu damaged the bridge console in anger.
  • Aifeisi contacted Li Qinwu, described Slaanesh’s beauty, and invited him to join her offering ceremony.
  • Li Qinwu recognized the feast and perfection as clues to an online friend and asked Aifeisi if she was Blood Rose.
  • Aifeisi asked Li Qinwu if he was Flowery Prosperity.

Ch. 751Meeting an Online Friend, Then Dropping Dead

Li Qinwu discovered that the Warp cultist Aifeisi was his online friend, Blood Rose, and the two traded insults until she began ascending into a Daemon Prince. Aifeisi became Storyteller, gaining the authority to summon forces from human history and impose the weapon technology of a chosen era on nearby battlefields, while Li Qinwu wondered if he could still escape.

  • Aifeisi recognized Li Qinwu as her online friend Flowery Prosperity and urged him to join her worship of the Pleasure Prince.
  • Li Qinwu mocked Aifeisi’s age and appearance, and she insulted his muscles in return, provoking him into a furious argument.
  • Aifeisi’s insults and rage gave way to her transformation as Warp energy gathered and six tentacles merged the six choirs into her.
  • Slaanesh began Aifeisi’s ascension, naming her Daemon Prince Storyteller and granting her authority over human history and battlefield-era technology.
  • Aifeisi threatened revenge on Li Qinwu as her transformation continued, and he wondered whether he could escape before she completed it.
