With the world reaching this point, Amazon Lily had only a few choices left. Given what she had endured and her ties to Luffy and the others, she could never side with the World Government.

In that case, rather than take the first option, which looked advantageous but came with plenty of problems, it was better for Amazon Lily to join the coalition outright.
