Background / History
Li Mo transmigrated into the body of Ryan Garcia, a twenty-two-year-old New York University graduate, without inherited memories. Ryan’s father and Annie’s mother had died in a car accident the previous day, leaving Ryan as Annie’s legal guardian and the pair with a Manhattan villa and a substantial inheritance. To conceal his true situation, Li Mo claimed amnesia and assumed Ryan’s identity. 1
Initially, Ryan considered the Marvel world too dangerous for reckless ambition. Rather than pursue Infinity Stones or interfere openly with major events, he prioritized information, survival, and protecting Annie. 1
A damaged system later activated within him. Its surviving functions collected Influence Value and enabled interworld searches and traversal. After preparing weapons, survival supplies, and contingency arrangements for Annie, Ryan made his first crossing into a parallel Earth in 2128, where he encountered Suzuki Satoru—later identified as the future Momonga. 4 8 13 14 15
Ryan built Haulers Group over the following decade while supporting Suzuki’s future plans. He entered YGGDRASIL, became a founding member of the developing guild, and ultimately took control of Nazarick’s final preparations before its transportation to another world. 16 17 20
Following Nazarick’s transmigration, Ryan became its sole active Supreme Being and gained the capabilities of his level-100 avatar. His public confrontation with S.H.I.E.L.D. caused governments to misidentify Nazarick as an alien civilization, forcing him to manage Earth through intimidation, diplomacy, and the cultivation of public legitimacy rather than continued anonymity. 21 46 47
Ryan’s subsequent conflicts with Earth, Asgard, and Kamar-Taj demonstrated both Nazarick’s military power and the limits of his confidence. During his battle with Odin, he relied on the World Will’s temporary invulnerability and the Demon-Sealing Crystal’s lethal conceptual ability to survive. 72 73
As Nazarick’s dimensional reach expanded, Ryan revisited Suzuki Satoru’s world with Annie and Alva, where he destroyed the remains of his original body and gaming capsule. He revealed the game-based origins of Nazarick to Annie, gave Suzuki a final collection of entertainment material, and accepted that he might never return to that world. 79 80
Ryan later expanded Nazarick’s operations into the Resident Evil, sword-and-magic, and One Piece worlds while seeking to consolidate, rather than recklessly multiply, his commitments. In the One Piece world, he chose cooperation with the Revolutionary Army over the World Government and committed Nazarick to a long-term effort to spread magic, develop civilization, and ultimately overthrow the World Government. 97 144 159 212 219
Personality
Ryan is cautious, pragmatic, and intensely survival-oriented. Even after gaining extraordinary resources, he habitually gathers intelligence, prepares escape routes, conceals records, and avoids attracting the attention of stronger forces prematurely. 8 16 21
His protectiveness toward Annie is one of his defining traits. Her safety influences his business decisions, interworld travel, retaliatory plans, and willingness to confront forces such as Hydra, Roxxon, and even Earth’s governments. 8 17 22 50
Ryan distinguishes between unprovoked cruelty and retaliation. He initially favors legal action against ordinary criminals and forbids Nazarick from abusing intelligent beings, but considers lethal force justified against those who knowingly attack him or his people. 12 24 37
As Nazarick’s Supreme Being, he is increasingly comfortable exercising authority, though he remains uneasy with the Guardians’ extreme worship and worries that their literal interpretation of his wishes may produce disastrous results. 23 24 37
Although Ryan presents himself as a righteous protector and seeks to avoid indiscriminate killing, he is willing to use manipulation, memory alteration, coercive World-Class Items, and overwhelming force when he considers them strategically necessary. He also treats reputation and public support as essential tools of power. 38 164 167
Ryan increasingly frames his long-term ambitions around spreading magic and advancing civilizations through the exchange of knowledge. However, he also views other worlds as sources of experimentation, Influence Value, resources, and political leverage, making his idealism inseparable from Nazarick’s expansion. 144 159 216 219
Abilities & Skills
Traversal System
Ryan possesses a damaged system bound to his body or soul.
- Collects Influence Value, which initially accumulates at approximately one point per hour. 8
- Can search for worlds at the cost of 100,000 Influence Value. 4
- Allows traversal when Ryan possesses a world coordinate; he initially reaches Suzuki Satoru’s world through this function. 4 14
- Records the coordinates of worlds he has reached, allowing him to return to the Marvel world from Nazarick. 21
- Determines that Influence Value rises substantially when non-native things capable of creating major impact are introduced into the Marvel world; the conflict involving Nazarick raises his reserves to 5.3 million. 59 79
- Its motives and full functionality remain unknown to Ryan. The system was previously damaged by an unknown enemy, whom Ryan fears may eventually locate him. 4 8 85
Spatial Passage and Portal Magic
Ryan can create, manipulate, and close spatial passages, while Nazarick later develops a stable World Portal network.
- Reshaped and closed the passage in Suzuki Satoru’s home through instinctive control. 15
- Uses portals to move between Marvel, Nazarick, Camp Lehigh, Mars, the Resident Evil world, and other secured locations. 21 30 33 220
- Conceals the Mars-based World Portal from satellites and information-based magical detection. 34
- The World Portal is a fifty-meter structure of Void Metal powered by thousands of spatial-magic gemstones. 34
- Nazarick develops World Communicators based partly on the World Portal’s principles, enabling delayed voice and message transmission between worlds. 84
- Possesses spatial abilities capable of countering Kuma’s Devil Fruit teleportation and bypassing Stark’s teleportation-blocking device with a superior method. 156 217
YGGDRASIL Magic and Enhanced Physiology
Following Nazarick’s transportation, Ryan gains access to the abilities of his high-level game avatar.
- Awakens with powerful magic and enhanced physical abilities that he can use instinctively. 21
- Uses teleportation, soundproofing, protective magic, illusions, invisibility, lightning magic, and mind-control magic. 34 41 46 47 163 166 167
- Possesses heightened senses sufficient to identify thirty-seven heartbeats within a five-hundred-meter radius. 43
- Is protected by divine-class equipment and is regarded as a level-100 archmage. 21 37
- Studies magical theory to understand the principles behind powers he initially used only by instinct. 105
- Can cast Super-Tier spells, including Apollo’s Descent, though the normal casting process leaves him vulnerable to interruption and assassination. 181 198
- Uses the Demon-Sealing Crystal’s ultimate ability, Death Is the End of Life, which imposes the concept of death on everything within its limited range, including nonliving matter. 73
- Has personally experienced Conqueror’s Haki and learned that, despite his immense spiritual power, powerful Haki can briefly immobilize him. 163
Leadership and Strategic Planning
Ryan combines corporate resources, foreknowledge, and Nazarick’s forces to pursue long-term influence.
- Built Haulers Group into a conglomerate valued at nearly one hundred billion dollars while retaining 51% ownership. 17
- Appointed Albedo as Nazarick’s acting leader and delegated research, defense, expansion, and portal construction. 24
- Uses Shadow Demons, Pandora’s Actor, and other Nazarick personnel for surveillance, infiltration, and counterplots. 37 38 46
- Seeks to preserve Nazarick’s public image as a righteous power, even when pursuing ruthless retaliation. 37 38
- Pursues the League of Heroes as a global institution built around public service and moral legitimacy, while intending to use its prestige to deepen Nazarick’s influence on Earth. 105 131 220
- Directs Nazarick’s economic expansion in the One Piece world through a trading company supported by 10,000 Pegasus Knights. 163 164
- Captures the World Economy News Paper’s leadership to obtain influence over global information and public opinion. 164 167
- Forms a practical alliance with Rayleigh and the Revolutionary Army, intending to overthrow the World Government while spreading magic and scientific knowledge through a new civilization. 159 212 219
