Tony and Nick's Conversation

"What is this?"

Hearing Nick's sharp question, Tony sized him up twice and asked cautiously.

Judging from what Ryan had said when they met before, S.H.I.E.L.D. supposedly did not know that Ryan could use magic. At least, that was what Ryan believed.

But now, Nick did not look like someone who was unaware.

Had Ryan not realized that S.H.I.E.L.D. was already watching him, or had something happened during this time?

Tony's eyes flickered as he could not help thinking of the news he had seen that morning.

"I know. Now tell me why this thing is here, and everything you know about Ryan Garcia!"

Nick stepped forward, his expression sharp.

Tony should have been grateful that he was the son of Howard Stark, one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s founding veterans. Otherwise, the moment Nick saw that Portal, no matter how rich Tony was, Nick would have taken him back for interrogation.

Faced with Ryan's final threat, even the other four corporate giants, none much smaller than Stark Group, had completely fallen. In order to uncover the truth, the government would not hesitate to bring down another corporation.

"Does this have something to do with those four groups?"

Tony tested the waters. Seeing Nick's expression grow increasingly grave, he immediately understood.

"Ahem, actually, I don't know that much either..."

Tony began explaining awkwardly. With matters this serious, even he did not dare keep hiding things for Ryan. Besides, Ryan had caused such a huge mess without even informing him. That alone showed Ryan did not take him, his partner, seriously. Tony was furious about it too.

"You said Hydra infiltrators are hiding within S.H.I.E.L.D.? Even Director Pierce is one of them?"

Hearing this explosive revelation from Tony, Nick's eyelids twitched. He temporarily put aside the fact that Ryan used magic.
