"Itachi? What are you doing here? Looking for Qi Huo? He's still on duty and hasn't come back yet."

A woman looked at Itachi Uchiha standing in the doorway, stunned for a moment before asking.

His answer was a ninja blade gleaming with cold light.

A genius on Shisui's level, Itachi could kill ordinary clansmen who were not even ninja without giving them a chance to cry out.

But as he kept killing, Itachi began to sense that something was wrong.

Many of the clansmen's houses were completely empty!

His expression grew increasingly grim. He had clearly promised Hiruzen Sarutobi that he would settle the Uchiha Clan's problem once and for all.

As he cleared house after house, he counted them and found that at least half were empty!

"Did the news get out?!"

Itachi's mind buzzed.

A figure suddenly flashed across the street—it was his father, Fugaku Uchiha!

"Come with me."

Fugaku's ordinary Sharingan had already lit up in his eyes.

He led Itachi into the underground chamber beneath Naka Shrine.

The stone tablet passed down since ancient times stood before them.

Itachi's lips curled with disdain. He had already read what was written on it when Shisui died.

"Only those in the clan who have awakened the Sharingan can read this tablet, but they can only understand a small portion. With your Mangekyō Sharingan, you should be able to read more."

Itachi sneered. "You want me to read its contents aloud to you?"

"I don't think that'll be necessary."

A lazy voice suddenly came from behind him.

Itachi whirled around and came face-to-face with Naruto's smiling face.

The pair of Mangekyō Sharingan in Naruto's eye sockets were blood-red.

"Those are my father's eyes?!"

Itachi was startled. Then, after examining the Sharingan's pattern more closely, his expression immediately changed.
