Naruto survived Minato and Kushina’s sacrifice, then grew up training, challenging Konoha’s treatment of him, and warning the Hyuga about the Uchiha’s growing crisis. The arc left Itachi investigating violent chakra as tensions between the Uchiha and Konoha escalated.

• Naruto was sealed as the Nine-Tails’ jinchuriki after Minato and Kushina sacrificed themselves, and he resolved not to repeat the self-sacrifice of his past life.
• Naruto trained alone, befriended Hinata after rescuing her from bullies, and warned Hiashi about the threat to the Hyuga and the danger of the Uchiha’s political situation.

Naruto intervened when Danzo took Shisui’s eye, then gained Shisui’s Sharingan and accelerated his training while recovering. After graduating and forming a team with Hana and Izumi under Yamato, Naruto began a caravan escort mission as Obito ordered Pain to seize control of Amegakure.

• Shisui confronted Danzo over his plan to take the Sharingan, but Danzo used Izanagi to steal Shisui’s right eye before Naruto struck him with a Rasengan and escaped with the eye.
• Root pursued Naruto, and a kunai pierced his right eye, triggering Kurama’s Three-Tails Cloak before Itachi suppressed the Nine-Tails and carried Naruto to the hospital.
• Shisui gave Itachi his remaining eye and asked him to protect the village and the Uchiha Clan, then jumped from a cliff as Itachi awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan.
• After recovering and receiving a Sharingan transplant from Kurama, Naruto awakened its Mangekyō, began taijutsu training with Might Guy, and agreed to graduate early in exchange for two jutsu.
• Naruto passed his graduation exercise with Hana Inuzuka and Izumi Uchiha, rescued Uzuki Yugao from Root operatives, and earned Hiruzen’s praise and the promised jutsu scrolls.

Naruto infiltrated Akatsuki’s plans, rescued Karin, and maneuvered the Uchiha toward resisting Konoha as the massacre began. After turning Itachi to his side and driving Obito away, Naruto broke the seal on the Nine-Tails and found Kushina Uzumaki in his consciousness.

• Naruto fought Kakuzu and Pain, then tricked Black Zetsu into believing he was his father and directed Akatsuki to operate as mercenaries.

• As Itachi and Obito began the massacre, Naruto confronted Itachi at Naka Shrine, used Kotoamatsukami to change his allegiance, and watched him turn against Fugaku.
• Naruto rescued Izumi Uchiha from Obito, resisted Obito’s attempt to unleash Kurama, and confronted Minato Namikaze inside the seal.

Naruto seized the Nine-Tails’ power, joined Akatsuki under the name Madara, and began training while plotting against Konoha’s leadership. A year later, he agreed to lead a rookie team in the Chunin Exams, leaving Sasuke, Karin, and Sakura under his supervision.

• Kushina emerged when the Eight Trigrams Seal opened, and Naruto rejected Minato as his father while declaring his intention to destroy Konoha and the Land of Fire.
• Naruto absorbed the Nine-Tails’ chakra and revealed Minato’s paternity to Hiruzen, while Itachi slaughtered the Uchiha clan and protected Sasuke.
• Naruto extorted five million ryo from Hiruzen, quit the village, and joined Akatsuki disguised as Madara Uchiha.
