Naruto squinted and swept his gaze over Luffy from head to toe, with disgust written all over his face.
"If you're really at that level, then everything will naturally be fine from here on out. But if I'm not mistaken, you're probably still a long way off, and what I fear most is that you just aren't up to it."
"Besides, other than eating, you probably don't know how to do anything else, do you? Nami, you'd better clear up where we can buy meat first; that's what he actually cares about."
Luffy blinked, as if his thoughts had been exposed on the spot.
"Eh? You even know what I'm thinking? You understand me way too well!"
"I really only want to know where I can buy meat. Heh heh, only after eating and drinking our fill will we have enough strength in our bodies!"
"If there isn't a shred of strength in my belly, how could I possibly defeat the enemy when we run into a fight?"
Nami rolled her eyes in annoyance, extended a delicate pinky finger, and pointed at an inconspicuous small island on the map.
"This place is called Loguetown, and you can buy meat and other food there."
She looked at Luffy and added another sentence: "However, this is the town where Roger was born. Are you going?"
Luffy's eyes widened instantly, and the corners of his mouth split into a strange smile. He raised a hand to clap and answered crisply.
"Let's go! What's there to hesitate about? I, Luffy, have never known what it means to chicken out!"
"Roger was born right here, and he died here in the end too. He's the Pirate King! Since that's the case, of course I have to go and properly check out this town!"
