Kaguya Ōtsutsuki looked at Naruto as though she were studying some rare species.
A smile played on her lips. She was clearly up to no good.
She deliberately drew out her words.
"Naruto, someone just looked down on you to your face."
"Even crazier, that's the first time I've heard someone say he'd give you a boost. Hahaha, this is too good."
"But if someone really wants to give you a boost, I'll be right here enjoying the show."
Naruto rolled his eyes.
"Whether I beat him up or he beats me up depends on my mood, doesn't it?"
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki raised an eyebrow, looking ready to enjoy the spectacle.
"Don't glare at me. I just think it's funny."
Naruto couldn't be bothered with her anymore.
He pushed off the ground and flashed forward.
Only an afterimage remained in the air.
When Naruto appeared again, he was already behind Smoker.
Smoker had yet to turn around.
"Rasengan."
A blinding sphere of light burst into Naruto's hand.
Spinning, it bore down on Smoker.
The attack struck Smoker squarely.
Smoker went flying.
He slammed into the wall.
A section of the wall caved in.
A crack split through it.
Dust burst from the crack.
Smoker slid to the floor.
His presence had grown so faint it was almost gone.
Smoker wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
He fixed his eyes on Naruto.
He knew he couldn't beat Naruto.
But after taking that hit, his interest had only grown.
After all, it had been years since anyone had injured him so badly.
Now that someone this strange had appeared, how could he not be interested?
"Haha! Not bad, not bad. Let's see just how strong you really are."
Layers of mist rose from Smoker's body.
White smoke wrapped around him.
