Just as they were about to set sail, the sea took on an entirely different appearance, nothing like it had been moments before.

The weather suddenly cleared, leaving a cloudless blue sky, as though no danger had ever existed in these waters. Their surroundings were eerily quiet, too.

Cloud after cloud of smoke splashed up from the waves, billowing outward in thick bursts. The smoke was choking, and they felt thoroughly uncomfortable.
