The moon at the turn of autumn and winter quietly illuminated an abandoned factory in Nightview City.
Haphazardly stacked wooden crates lay everywhere inside, and numerous metal objects were covered in patches of rust, ample proof that no one had come to clean the factory for many years.
At that moment, a group of men in work clothes had gathered in the abandoned factory's warehouse. Several had cigarettes between their lips, and their leader was a young man in white whose clothes and appearance were distinctly fashionable.
Facing them was a mysteriously dressed figure in a black cloak, and the two sides were discussing something.
Then the young man in white motioned for one of the workers behind him to step forward and hand a leather case to the mysteriously dressed leader.
The cloaked figure opened the case, glanced at the crisp new banknotes without counting them, and closed it again. The figure then picked up another leather case from beside them and handed it to the young man in white.
Just as the young man in white was about to take it, a round pellet suddenly rolled into the warehouse from outside.
Without warning, the pellet burst with an explosive bang that made their eardrums sting, accompanied by a great billowing cloud of smoke that engulfed the entire warehouse in an instant.
The young man in white and the workers behind him all had ringing heads, unable to understand what had happened.
The cloaked figure, however, seemed to realize something. Braving the pain in his eardrums, he sprang up at tremendous speed, attempting to break through the wall above and escape.
Judging by the height and speed of his leap, he was clearly no ordinary person.
However, this method of escape had been entirely anticipated.
