Everyone discussed it in alarm. They should all have known how dangerous S-Class assignments were.
"It was a cat. A cat with wings."
Laxus sat on the second floor with his feet on the table, speaking with amusement.
"Happy?!"
"Then it must have been Natsu and Lucy."
"How could this be? What exactly are those two trying to do?"
"I never thought they would be foolish enough to go this far."
No one had quite believed it at first, but once they heard it was Natsu, anything seemed possible. Still, this was a violation of the rules.
Laxus had clearly thought of that as well, his expression becoming even more amused. "Old man, this is a serious violation. When they return, you'll expel them from the guild, right?"
"Or maybe they won't come back at all."
Mirajane could not stand it anymore. She marched up to Laxus furiously. "Laxus! Why didn't you stop them when you saw them?"
"At the time, I thought it was some stray cat. Who knew it was Happy?"

Laxus was not afraid in the slightest. He met her gaze and teased her.
