"Pfft—" A long jet of crimson blood shot upward, gushing wildly from 'Achill's' neck as though it cost him nothing. A length of gleaming, razor-sharp blade had sliced viciously out through the right side of his neck—
"Roar—" Feeling the searing pain in the right side of his neck, 'Achill's' already blood-red eyes suddenly blazed scarlet! With a furious roar, he forced back the weapons pinning his own, then drove a savage kick into Achill's wide-open chest, sending him flying backward!!
"Cough, cough. Tch, still not fast enough?" Achill wiped the trace of blood from his mouth with the back of his left hand; that kick had jolted it out of him. Feeling the dull ache in his chest, he brought both hands forward and gently pressed the upper half of Shinsō's blade in his left hand against the broken end in his right. Silver light flashed, and Shinsō was whole again, its gleaming, pale moon-colored blade unmarked by even a trace of blood...
"Your reflexes really are terrifying. At that distance, with an attack that unexpected, you still managed to just barely dodge it..." Achill gave the restored Shinsō a slight flick of his right wrist as he watched 'Achill's' utterly twisted face. Then he casually turned his head to glance at his exposed left arm, where sharp, needlelike pains still throbbed. Looking at the charred, bloody patch grazed by the black-and-red spike of magic earlier, he said mildly, in a tone that sounded self-mocking but was actually self-congratulatory, "As expected of this world's version of yours truly! Looks like you're pretty good at the things I can do, too... Should I feel flattered?"
"You bastard... You've now—" Fresh blood streamed endlessly from the long wound running from the right side of 'Achill's' neck, across his right cheek, and
