"So~ this is the nearest city? Looks pretty nice, but why..." Standing atop the Magic-Propelled Four-Wheeler, Achill gazed at the magnificent ancient city that had appeared ahead of him and frowned. "Why do I get this strange sense of déjà vu, like I've been here before? Did I pass through this place sometime in the past? Oh, forget it. Let's head into town first..."
With that thought, Achill settled back into the driver's seat and pressed his hand against a fist-sized recess to the left of the Magic-Propelled Four-Wheeler's steering wheel. Brilliant blue magic flared in his left palm, and a glowing sphere formed entirely of blue magic appeared in his hand.
"Vroom, vroom—rrrumble!" He gently pressed the sphere into the recess. Amid a violent roar and shudder from the Magic-Propelled Four-Wheeler, all four wheels immediately began spinning like mad, as though they had swallowed a massive dose of Viagra! The next instant, trailing a long plume of dust, the vehicle shot toward the ancient city ahead like a cannonball.
The city was quite a distance from the previous town, and most of the route wound through the mountains. Even with Achill supplying enormous amounts of magic without a thought for the cost, the journey had taken quite some time. Of course, that was by his own flying-speed standards. To anyone else, it would hardly have taken any time at all.
Still, between the time spent finding the town and traveling from there to this city, a fair amount of time had passed by his arrival. The sky was almost completely dark now, with bright stars emerging alongside a luminous moon, and lights shone throughout the city.
By the time Achill finally drove the Magic-Propelled Four-Wheeler up to the city, the vehicle he had raced mercilessly all the way there
