While he was pondering, Oscar Ogdins had already hurried up to Achill, his face flushed with excitement. Brimming with anticipation, he exclaimed, "I never imagined you would come here in person! This is truly an honor for every teacher and student at the Grand Magic Academy, and for all the people of Ogdins City—" Clearly, the fellow thought Achill had made a special trip here. He assumed Achill had come to the Statue Unveiling Ceremony out of consideration for Ogdins City, the Grand Magic Academy, and himself, its current headmaster!
In fact, before holding the ceremony, he had very much hoped Achill, its guest of honor, would attend in person! Judging by what people said about his personality, the chances of him coming were practically zero. Still, whether out of basic courtesy or that tiny spark of hope, Oscar had made a point of sending an invitation to Fairy Tail! Admittedly, despite knowing how slim the odds were, he had still harbored a little hope that Achill would attend!
What he did not know was that Achill had already left on his training journey long before the invitation arrived. As for the unscrupulous guild master who received it, overcome by envy, jealousy, resentment, and a raging sense of injustice, he read it and promptly used it as a cushion for his backside without so much as letting out a fart.
