Wolf Island, along one of the Excitement Routes, by the shore.
"You let your guard down a little, Mira." Achill leaned idly against a large tree, twirling a plate piled with food in his hand. He smiled at Mira, who had just gotten up on the beach. "Sure, that news was, well, a little shocking, but was it really enough to distract you that badly? Besides..."
"Besides, it could very well have been a last-minute trick they came up with to beat me, right?" Mira brushed the sand off herself, walked over to Achill, and sat down beside him with a helpless expression. "Looks like I still have a long way to go. Something like that actually threw me off. Sigh... Still, if it really were true, that would be nice..."
"Heh, there's no need to be disappointed. It might actually be true. And even if it isn't true now, who knows? It might be someday." Achill smiled faintly. "Plenty of things in this world start out as an act and end up becoming real."
"Let's hope so."
"All right, since your part of the exam is over, let's head back to the temporary camp." Achill handed Mira the plate, clapped his hands, and stood up. He snapped his fingers, and with a sharp crack and a flash of light, a gleaming silver Magic-Propelled Four-Wheeler appeared before them.
The Magic-Propelled Four-Wheeler, the Manly Men Mercedes! It was the brand-new, magic-powered vehicle he had custom-ordered to his specifications from that magical vehicle factory in Magnolia!
As mentioned before, its appearance had been modeled entirely after the famous cars from his previous life. He had picked it up from the factory two days earlier, before coming to Wolf Island for this picnic. Magic-Propelled Four-Wheelers were generally sturdy, durable, and difficult to damage.
