He had originally been flying aimlessly between Oak City and Magnolia like a headless fly, but fortunately, his luck was nowhere near as formidable as his disastrous sense of direction. By a stroke of good fortune, he ran into Mystogan, who was uprooting all of Phantom Lord's guild branches!
Handing over the Makarov magic power he had collected so Mystogan could return it was secondary. The most important thing was that, with Mystogan's help, he could finally reach a nearby city by a normal route!
Why a normal route? Oh, simple. Whenever this idiot flew or walked somewhere on his own, no matter which city he was headed for, he invariably took enough twists and turns to make the trip as troublesome as that big shot Tang's journey west to fetch "essence"...
After countless miserable lessons, however, our great protagonist Achill had finally learned a little. This time, he got smart. Instead of showing off his ability to fly, he obediently boarded a train bound for Magnolia!
In fact, the city Mystogan had taken him to was not very far from Magnolia, so he arrived in Magnolia Town in just under two hours!
Yet after finally making it to Magnolia, another problem arose. Ahem, embarrassing as it was to admit, he had once again forgotten how to get to the Fairy Tail Guild...
That was only the first issue. There was another, far more important one! Namely—he had no idea how he should face the few people he cared about!
