Background / History

The Eternal King Halberd Auction

An Ke'er was originally assigned to hunt the Starry Sky Behemoth that had killed Immortal King Xu Yong. After spending several months tracking it without success, she accepted additional responsibilities involving the natives discovered after the Immortal Ascension Secret Realm and the investigation of Xu Yong's Eternal King Halberd 432.

At the Sin Abyss auction, she announced that the Myriad Stars Immortal Court had sent her to retrieve the halberd. The competing Immortal Kings withdrew rather than raise the price further and risk offending the Court. During the auction, Lin Qing's ability to look through her concealed private room caught her attention 394 395.

Taking Xingdu as a Disciple

Zui Ji invited An Ke'er to the Grand Blood Bout and promised its three ultimate victors to the Myriad Stars Immortal Court. Initially intending only to collect the winners, she instead became interested in Lin Qing, who was competing under the name Xingdu 409.

She boarded Tu Mi's Flying Vessel to question Tu Mi and Hua Yao about him. Recognizing that perfected Wind Will could not explain his ability to perceive her through concealment spells, she suspected he possessed a divine ability 410 411.

After Xingdu's victory, An Ke'er refused to yield him to the Immortal Kings seeking to recruit him and took him as her personal disciple. She allowed him to remain temporarily in the Sin Abyss, gave him a protective white jade token, and instructed him to visit the Court within a year. Lin Qing accepted outwardly but privately intended to disappear 416.

Investigation and the Discarded Token

While reviewing files on suspicious arrivals from the Immortal Ascension Secret Realm, An Ke'er discovered evidence connecting Xingdu to Lin Qing. Despite the possibility that he had killed numerous Court prodigies, she decided to protect him because of his extraordinary talent 423 424.

Her attempt to contact him revealed that he had deliberately abandoned her token in a dangerous region. When she activated its Divine Sense Avatar, the local laws destroyed it. Furious, she assembled more than a dozen Heavenly Immortals and departed for the Sin Abyss 424.

She intercepted Lin Qing's ship but failed to recognize him under his new identity, Xie Chen. After questioning him and searching his belongings, she accepted his claim to be an unregistered native of the Sin Abyss and returned his possessions. Before the vessels could separate, a Starry Sky Behemoth swallowed them 424 425.

Escape from the Starry Sky Behemoth

Inside the creature, An Ke'er partially overcame the suppression of her spiritual power and searched for the scattered members of her party. She rescued several disciples and caught Lin Qing above the Digestion Pool, though many of those who had accompanied her had already died 437.

She did not demand that Lin Qing risk his life to save the others. Instead, she led the survivors to the creature's mouth and shattered one of its teeth with her Life-Bound Treasure, opening an escape route. Once outside, she sent everyone aboard her Flying Vessel and confronted the behemoth alone 438.

Their battle lasted two days. Her Moon Law and Illusion Law largely prevented effective counterattacks, but she inflicted only limited injuries. The behemoth eventually withdrew rather than risk the arrival of reinforcements 439.

The Replacement Xingdu

Returning to the Sin Abyss, An Ke'er recovered the discarded token and questioned Hua Yao and Tu Mi about Xingdu. When they could not provide his whereabouts, she decided that “Xie Chen” would impersonate him—unaware that the two were already the same person 440.

To support the impersonation, she commissioned Zui Ji to make a necklace concealing differences in cultivation and life aura. She then brought Lin Qing to the Myriad Stars Immortal Court as Xingdu and ordered that the suspicion connecting Xingdu to Lin Qing remain secret. The Court also canceled its investigation into Yuan Shuo, Yue Shu, and their companions 441 442.

An Ke'er mistakenly attributed “Xie Chen's” rapid cultivation increase to an equal contract with Flowing Silver. To explain Xingdu's apparent advancement publicly, she proposed arranging a dual cultivation partner. Lin Qing refused to involve an actual woman, and she accepted the story of a mysterious partner instead 442 443.

Challenges at the Court

When Court cultivators challenged Xingdu's qualifications to become her disciple, An Ke'er sent him to answer them and supplied a White Jade Gourd for preserving his opponents' essence, energy, and spirit 444.

She attempted to stop the battles when Lin Qing invited stronger opponents, but Mo Xun provoked her into allowing them to continue. After Lin Qing defeated the leading challengers, she stopped him from killing Qi Fei, ended the event, and openly mocked Mo Xun's disappointment 446 447 448.

Appearance

  • Overall appearance: Exceptionally beautiful, with a pure, striking elegance described as untouched by the mortal world 395.
  • Hair and eyes: Dark hair that spread like a river of stars during battle; clear eyes carrying immense immortal might 438.
  • Clothing: A moon-white immortal gown with flowing sleeves 410.
  • Voice: Clear and sweet, contrasting with her formidable cultivation 394 410.
  • Special constitution: Her outwardly ordinary bones contain nested internal structures with fine flecks of starlight sealed between them 395.

Personality

An Ke'er is observant and inquisitive, particularly toward unusual talent. She noticed Lin Qing's reactions to her gaze, recognized that Wind Will could not explain his perception, and pursued the possibility that he possessed a divine ability. Her curiosity was a principal reason she took him as a disciple 409 411 424.

She is also proud and sensitive to rejection or public embarrassment. Her plan to replace the missing Xingdu was motivated by saving face, while Mo Xun successfully exploited that concern to prolong the challenge matches. Nevertheless, she is not indiscriminately ruthless: she chose to protect Lin Qing from the Court's investigation and refused to blame an apparent stranger for failing to risk his life for her disciples 424 438 442 443 447.

Abilities & Skills

Peak Heavenly Immortal Combat Strength

An Ke'er possesses Immortal King-level fighting strength despite remaining a Heavenly Immortal 416 429.

  • She defeated Mo Xun in a duel following his persistent unwanted courtship 447.
  • She is stronger than Immortal King Xu Yong, and the Court considered her capable of killing the behemoth that defeated him 432.
  • Her actual battle with that creature demonstrated a modest advantage, not an overwhelming one; its injuries remained limited after two days 439.

Dharma Image

Her Dharma Image stands over nine hundred million kilometers tall, far exceeding the scale described for ordinary cultivators at her level 438.

  • She manifested it after placing the rescued survivors at a safer distance 438.
  • Its enormous size does not make every visible image a physical target: she also uses Illusion Law to produce deceptive counterparts 439.

Moon Law

An Ke'er has substantial mastery of Moon Law, a powerful law associated with the Yin-Yang Great Dao 439.

  • She used it alongside Illusion Law to restrict the Starry Sky Behemoth's opportunities to counterattack 439.
  • Suppression of her divine sense inside the creature severely limited the law power she could wield 438.

Illusion Law and Concealment

An Ke'er commands Illusion Law to a high degree and habitually uses concealment spells 411 439.

  • She produced two apparently identical Dharma Images after the behemoth struck an illusory target 439.
  • Her concealment hid her presence aboard Tu Mi's vessel from outside observers, but not from Lin Qing's Primordial Insight 411.
  • She can change her appearance and conceal both her own aura and a companion's while traveling discreetly 440.
  • Lin Qing's divine ability can distinguish her true body from her illusions 439.

Divine Sense and Avatars

Her divine sense supports long-range observation, detailed perception, and remote communication through marked objects 395 424.

  • Her protective token contained a Divine Sense Mark and an avatar, with automatic activation when its bearer faced genuine danger 424.
  • After partially overcoming the behemoth's internal restrictions, her divine sense still reached less than one hundred thousand meters 437.
  • Her avatar was unable to survive the law suppression in the dangerous zone where Lin Qing discarded the token 424.

Special Constitution

Lin Qing's Primordial Insight revealed a starlight-bearing internal bone structure, confirming that An Ke'er possesses a special constitution 395.

  • Its name and precise effects are not identified.
  • Lin Qing considered it a possible explanation for her exceeding ordinary theoretical strength limits, rather than an established explanation 438.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Pale blue Life-Bound Treasure longsword — Shattered a Starry Sky Behemoth's tooth and released sword energy extending across billions of kilometers 438.
  • Immortal King-level Flying Vessel — A pure-white, luminous vessel stored in her Storage Ring; exceptionally compact for its grade 416 424.
  • White jade protective token — Given to Lin Qing as proof of her identity and a means of protection, communication, and avatar deployment; later discarded and recovered 416 424 440.
  • Eternal King Halberd — Xu Yong's former weapon, purchased on the Myriad Stars Immortal Court's behalf 394 395.
  • Concealment necklace — Commissioned from Zui Ji for the supposed replacement Xingdu; nearly an Immortal King artifact in grade 441.
  • Detailed star map jade slip — Given to Lin Qing upon request 443.
  • White Jade Gourd — Supplied to Lin Qing to preserve the essence, energy, and spirit collected from defeated challengers 444.

Relationships

  • Lin Qing / Xingdu / Xie Chen — Her personal disciple and the focus of her curiosity. She chooses to protect the suspected Lin Qing, yet later mistakenly believes “Xie Chen” is a separate person impersonating Xingdu 416 424 440 445.
  • Hua Yao and Tu Mi — Xingdu's companions, whom she questions about his abilities and whereabouts. She ultimately allows them to retain knowledge of her replacement scheme under a promise of secrecy 410 411 440 442.
  • Zui Ji — Sin Abyss ruler, banquet host, and artifact refiner. He arranges the Court's access to the Grand Blood Bout winners and later crafts the concealment necklace she requests 409 416 441.
  • Mo Xun — Former suitor turned antagonist. After repeated private rejections, she rejected him publicly and defeated him in a duel; he subsequently opposed her and tried to undermine her disciple 447 448.
  • Her faction's junior brothers, junior sisters, and subordinates — Heavenly Immortal followers who share her planet. Many accompanied her search for Xingdu, and she searched for them after the behemoth scattered the party 424 437 442.

Trivia

  • “Immortal Minister” is a talent title, not a separate cultivation realm. In the novel's terminology, it applies specifically to female prodigies; “Immortal Lord” is the corresponding male title 301.
  • She ordinarily dislikes traveling with attendants. The retinue she assembled after discovering the discarded token was a deliberate display of authority 416 424.
  • Her reputation extends beyond Anhuang into the wider Corona Borealis Realm, and images of her are widely circulated online 410 416.
