History

In the current era, Konoha is ruled by Danzo as its Third Hokage. He is publicly regarded as a war hero who lost an arm and eye while protecting comrades during the First Shinobi World War; Hashirama-cell grafts and a transplanted Sharingan require sealing wraps to suppress their strain. 3 4

The village’s political structure is marked by conflict between Danzo and Root leader Hiruzen Sarutobi. Their dispute over the Land of Waves mission exposes opposing views: Danzo argues that Konoha must pursue profit and national advantage, while Hiruzen condemns supporting Kado’s exploitative regime. 18

Konoha continues to cultivate elite Genin through the Academy and Jonin-led teams. Menma Namikaze, Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Uchiha graduated together and formed Team 7 under Kakashi Hatake after passing a test centered on teamwork and loyalty. 5 6 10

The operation escalated into a diplomatic confrontation with the Hidden Mist Village over the Land of Waves’ sovereignty, mission commissions, wartime prisoners, and the return of seized swords. Konoha rejected the stationing of organized Hidden Mist forces in the country and maintained that political authority should remain with the people of the Land of Waves. 24

When negotiations failed, Kakashi and Zabuza agreed to settle the disputed clauses through formal combat. The final duel was canceled after Utakata’s rampage injured Zabuza, resulting in Konoha being declared the winner. 24 33

Chunin Exams

Konoha is preparing to jointly host a large-scale Chunin Exam with the Sand Village and several smaller nations.
